I remember the first time I stepped foot onto a topless beach in Italy in anticipation of all the beautiful Aphrodite type figures I would see lounging around and frolicking in the surf.
Big letdown as I looked around and realized that the vast majority of those topless women had no business being uncovered. No amount of 20 year old perfection makes up for seeing grandma with those things swinging below her belly button, and there were a lot more of them than the former.
I found out I should be careful what I wish for.
Went back to eastern OK in ‘17 up in the red mud hills west of Poteau where my GGPa filled out his WWI Draft Card while working at a mine/lumber operation up just west of Calhoun.
Other than the personal connections my favorite place on that trip was Exit 262 off I-40: Lotawatah Road, which runs N/S along the east flank of Lake Eufaula; one of the largest lakes — if not THE largest lake — in OK.
