Americans Say They Would Vote For A Woman, But …
Five Thirty Eight ^ | July 15, 2019 | Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux

A record number of women are running for president in 2020, and now two women look like serious contenders for the presidential nomination — Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, both of whom rose in the polls after strong performances in the first Democratic debate. Joe Biden is still in the lead, but Warren and Harris may be starting to chip away at one of the central conceits of the 2020 race so far: the idea that Biden has the best shot at defeating President Trump.

For months now, voters have told reporters that they want to elect a woman — but after Hillary Clinton’s loss in 2016, they simply can’t imagine a woman winning against Trump. And this calculus is often justified by beliefs about other people’s sexism — an Ipsos/Daily Beast poll in June, for example, found that only 33 percent of Democrats and independents said they believed that their neighbors would be comfortable with a female president. But the performances of Warren and Harris in the first debate may have allowed some of those voters to envision a path to victory for these candidates for the first time.

Not to be sexist, but not many women are good national leaders and it has nothing to do with their parts. The track record is sickening as we see Europe implode and America with the most asinine people to hold political office from the DNC. H.R. Clinton would have destroyed this nation.

What does a woman’s butt have to do with it?

I'm not familiar with "a woman." Who might she be?

A female? As opposed to a transgender? What kind of an an animal do you think I’m am. Not that I have anything against animal sex. Bestiality is merely the next step forward. Unless it is 3 years old or maybe a kitten or a puppy To each his own. Right?

Nothing wrong with “woman”. The issue is “Democrat”. Well, really, “commie”.

Get me a Maggie Thatcher and yes I’d definitely jump.

I could vote for Margaret Thatcher. She had some real guts and was tough as leather. She was easily her equal to all the people she worked with in the UK.

We have so few women here in the US with the combination of experience and a genuine concern for the populous that will run. Women like Condoleezza Rice have the tools, but will not run, period. Unfortunate.

“Nope. Never said that. I dont base election decisions on race, color or gender bits.”

I wish that I could say the some, but...

Over the years, I’ve seen far too many politicians who seem to be good conservatives GO TRIBAL when some issue hits close to home. Back in her earlier days, Kay Bailey Hutchinson was a decent conservative and excellent on the military - but she turned into a raging feminist when Tailhook hit. Even Justice Thomas, at least in one case, went far-left when something KKK-related came up, even though it wasn’t even pertinent to the case (I don’t remember the details). Senator Scott, likewise, when voting against an otherwise perfectly-qualified judge, because the judge once worked for Jesse Helms. Really?

I hate that crap when the Left does it, and I hate it even more when our otherwise reliable conservative Republicans are driven by ‘something’ to do the same. I may still vote for a woman/minority who seems like a good conservative (over a white guy who seems the same), but they’ve ‘earned’ a much tougher job to get that vote.

Candace Owens when she is old enough, sure.
Nikki Haley, never, in the first place she isn’t eligible, her parents were Indian nationals when she was born, in the second, she was the one who kicked off the frenzy to erase American history.

Sarah Palin remains the only woman I would vote for because I could rest assured she wouldn't go squishy on social issues, and I know she would be tough like President Trump on illegal immigration and also another best friend to Israel.

Sarah believes in our strong military and not engaging in foreign wars. She's very much like Trump and Reagan.

I couldn't agree more onyx! That sort of common sense is very dangerous to... the Establishment.

Already there are corruption charges from Tulsi and Marianne. The lead woman is Elizabeth Warren and behind her is Hillary Clinton who might get vice presidency. But Clinton has to clear the field in a sneaky way and she is already doing it, I suspect, against Tulsi and Marianne. That’s Clinton’s strength and it’s how she got rid of Bernie in the last election. Now once Elizabeth is president and Hillary is vice she will be plotting against Hillary, mark my word. One day president Warren’s plane will suddenly go down in a freak accident. Ta Da... Guess who is now president!

Women are just as sneaky as men... if not more. And Clinton will be Queen Sneak.

Im going to give it to whoever i think is better. Generally i have never found two candidates to be equal or equivalent. If they were I’d pick a guy, because I know that women are out there voting for the woman just because shes a woman and they think thats totally fine.

If you think the Left is brutal on Trump, imagine what would happen if Sarah Palin managed to get elected. I’m not sure she could handle it. And now that she’s going through a divorce, the wolves would eat her alive.

I would have a hard time voting for a woman even if she was a conservative Christian Republican.

lol... Harris is polling around 6-7 percent. Please. Every single day she embarrasses herself and looses ground. The thing is these other liberal clowns also seem to shit on themselves daily as well so its really just a race to the bottom not necessarily a Harris ‘chipping away”... just others falling out quicker.
