“Nope. Never said that. I dont base election decisions on race, color or gender bits.”
I wish that I could say the some, but...
Over the years, I’ve seen far too many politicians who seem to be good conservatives GO TRIBAL when some issue hits close to home. Back in her earlier days, Kay Bailey Hutchinson was a decent conservative and excellent on the military - but she turned into a raging feminist when Tailhook hit. Even Justice Thomas, at least in one case, went far-left when something KKK-related came up, even though it wasn’t even pertinent to the case (I don’t remember the details). Senator Scott, likewise, when voting against an otherwise perfectly-qualified judge, because the judge once worked for Jesse Helms. Really?
I hate that crap when the Left does it, and I hate it even more when our otherwise reliable conservative Republicans are driven by ‘something’ to do the same. I may still vote for a woman/minority who seems like a good conservative (over a white guy who seems the same), but they’ve ‘earned’ a much tougher job to get that vote.
Im going to give it to whoever i think is better. Generally i have never found two candidates to be equal or equivalent. If they were I’d pick a guy, because I know that women are out there voting for the woman just because shes a woman and they think thats totally fine.
