The above 8 yo video is showing up on many Youtube recommendation lists, including mine. Weird, especially since Elon Musk's recent tweet:

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

Lets all understand. An asteroid will hit earth. And there will be one big enough to knock us all out. Its a matter of time. Fortunately that time could be a million years. Of course it could be a few years as well. But its not likely to be tomorrow because we have been watching for things like that. And we have a pretty good understanding of those things that have come by at least once in the past hundred years. So, we only need to worry about those things that have not been by at all or not lately. And then there are those things that use a bank shot to hit us after hitting something else first.
The earth has been hit before. Twice, at least by huge rocks that have wiped out much of the creatures living here. Its assumed that there were a few other hits as well. Its also assumed that Mars was hit by a large rock which turned it into what it is now, a smaller ice planet. And there is a theory that the moon was formed by a rock hitting earth.
Rocks hit earth all the time. Its just that they are not big enough to cause real damage. So while we are worried about global warming, the real problem lurks above. And no amount of thermometer adjusting will stop an asteroid. Oh, and lets not get into the Sun turning into a red giant and sucking us up. That will happen too.

500 km is a pretty big rock. Im hoping for something smaller, like the size of a vending machine, hitting Ginsburgs house. Shes 137 years old and has beaten every lethal disease known to man so interstellar is the only way to go

Yes,very dramatic. This is why the absolute asinine behavior of the climate criers moaning about we only have 11 1/2 years is pathetic.

I wonder how big it would have to be to kill 1/3 of everything as in Revelation 8.
