Trump Can Use 'Pocahontas' on Warren to 'Do Exactly What He Did to Hillary': GOP Consultant
Newsweek ^ | August 27, 2019 | Jessica Kwong

Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren may have apologized for taking a DNA test to prove she has Native American ancestry, but President Donald Trump could use his "Pocahontas" label for Warren to damage her as he did to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, according to at least one Republican consultant.

Warren can say she never used her ethnicity—her DNA test found she is between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American and backfired—to land a job. But Trump could use it against her to question her honesty.

"If you give Trump a tool to equalize the playing field, which is what this does, he will do exactly what he did to Hillary Clinton," Republican consultant Dan Hazelwood told Politico Magazine in a piece published online Tuesday.

Hazelwood, who owns Targeted Creative Communications, said Warren has "never given the answer to the core of the Trump charge, which is: She cheated. She cheated for personal gain. She hasn't answered that part of the attack."

The consultant said "we're all kidding ourselves" to think Trump would not be able to find people including Native Americans who would admit they still think Warren's DNA test was inappropriate "and she never actually properly accounted for her misdeeds." Hazelwood cautioned Democrats to "not pretend that you can't find those people, because a presidential campaign can."

But why would he call her Pocahontas when every one else calls her Fauxcahontas.? Much more meaningful.

I didn’t know that Captain Obvious is a “GOP consultant”.

No he doesn’t have to resort to and/or revert to such cheap shots-—the Pocahantas trope lingers, and doesn’t have to be re-stated. It would backfire and bring more sympathy to her, the way the Impeachment process did for BOTH Clintons, by extending their political careers, rather than tarnishing them. The strategy for Warren is very important, because starting well before the polls showed it, I do believe she will be the nominee. And I also think “Mayor Pete” will be the Veep choice. He is PERFECT for that post.

Yes, this is suspicious advice from a so called GOP consultant. He is working for the other side, effectively, to offer negative “advice” like that.

Personally, I think Lieawatha better fits her nature. She cannot be trusted to tell the truth and she will certainly take advantage of any marginally legal or situational loophole that will advantage her. She has proven that.

And when even caught in a DNA trap, her vague “apology” accentuated her devious character.

Yes, it’s amazing what has happened to the once mighty Time and Newsweek. Now they have to give themselves away. They are the vermiform appendix of magazines.

Don’t say Pocahontas, say FAUXcahontas :)

I agree.

Pocahontas was an honorable woman. Elizabeth Warren is demonstrably not an honorable woman.

FAUXcahontas is much more appropriate as she has used a lie to advance her career her entire adult life.

I also suggest Elizabeth Cheating Weasel.

She faked an Indian heritage to cheat another deserving individual ( likely a white male) out of a job and promising career.

Not only did she do this once, she persisted well into her career.

the giving away of magazines is not limited to the former Time and Newsweak

we have started to receive about a dozen magazines all at once, all sent from the same subscription office....
a couple of them we recognize, most we do not...
a couple of them look pretty good quality but are all on topics we have ZERO interest in, and would never subscribe to

we have, of course, had to send “no subscriber here, do not send, do not bill, will not pay” notices to them all.
but we understand that some people wind up paying their bills.........so that this is a way the mags increase their subscriptions.

meanwhile, we understand that the mags claim that they are distributing all these extra copies and thereby they bill their advertisers more! even though (we bet) 95% of these unwanted magazines go straight into people’s garbage cans, ha!

its a very shady way of doing business!

For some reason my wife has been getting the soft porn magazine Cosmopolitan. She never subscribed and does not want it.

It comes in the mail and goes straight in to the garbage.

It is good quality printed magazine. My brother worked for a printer for many years. He taught me the differences in good and poor quality print, paper and binding. It is a pity that the material on the paper is garbage.

Hollywood has some fine technology, craftsmanship in preparing and packaging their movies but so much of what goes into the films nowadays is such pure krap

we haven’t attended a movie since 1980, when we last walked out on one
