I would love to go again.I got to drive my 2014 Taurus among all those muscle cars at cruising speeds. I stayed in the middle away from the crowds, of course, but it was fun.

I don’t know what demographic name today’s 9 yr olds are given but my son and all of his friends carry around picture cards of their favorite cars. They carspot on any trip. They can tell you the mech stats of all the super cars.

If I wanted to I could rent a classic car, drive it up and down Woodward Ave., and when somebody watching from the sidewalk yells, “Hey, nice car!”...I can say “Thank you” and nobody would even know that the car was not mine.

Another (ex) motor city previously known as Buick City - Flint - is wrapping up its Back to the Bricks rod week. Pretty good event, too.
Many of downtown Flints streets were (some still are) paved with bricks. Flint was a booming auto town; its a shadow of itself now.
