President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will travel Wednesday to Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, where mass shootings over the weekend claimed the lives of more than 30 people and injured dozens of others.
In a speech on Monday, the president said that the United States is “overcome with shock” and that he and his wife “join all Americans in praying and grieving for the victims, their families and the survivors.
“These barbaric slaughters are an assault upon our communities, an attack upon our nation, and a crime against all of humanity,” he said.

The focus needs to be on the respectful funerals, remembrance, etc. No politics. Gun control now is a bad idea fed by emotion not intelligence. No one wants to hear that it is a crazed person, that crazy people are the problem. No one wants to hear that it is a very few counties and Democrat areas that account for 99% of the violence in the country. No one wants to hear that most people are safer WITH firearms, protecting themselves and their families. No one wants to hear that gunfree zones are dangerous and lead to deaths. Or that police cannot be depended upon to respond or act. The knee jerk responses, traitors wanting on the bandwagon will lead to bad legislation and more people defenseless and dead.

The media and CBS This morning are pushing people to aggressively oppose him, in effect they are inciting hate and violence, which they lie about opposing.
“I think the Dems will pull these stunts trying to separate him and the gun owners in the US. IMO”
Of course they will. They’ve. Got. Nothing. for 2020!
That said, of what I’ve read that he wants to do, NONE of it infringes upon my gun ownership rights, so I’ll trust him on this one, too. :)
I didn’t see him lose one voter over that dumb bump-stock legislation. I want to see him continue to beef up the areas that will help the mentally ill young Liberal males (redundant!) stop shooting up the rest of us!
