"1.25 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day."

Ban all cars. (Except for the elites of course). This could be part of the Green New Deal too.

“Nearly 1.25 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day.” -— Seems a wee high.

Yes, seemed high to me too since I was assuming he was talking about the US. But it turns out those are the numbers for the entire world. https://www.asirt.org/safe-travel/road-safety-facts/

It's more like 35,000 per year for the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_vehicle_fatality_rate_in_U.S._by_year

The Dayton shooter was in a misogynist grindcore band. He’d voiced his thoughts. This was after he’d been busted with a rape list and a hit list.

Well, that's all the proof we need... Ban Music - we gotta do SOMETHING!

Oh they say that country music’s gone to town.
Farmer John has but on a cap and gown.
What’s a country boy to do,
What’s this world a coming to,
When they say that country music’s gone to town!

I haven’t listened to country music in thirty years. It is trash.
I am still a Bob Wills and Spade Cooley fan!

Now I think of it, I haven’t listened to a radio in eleven years.

Number one country song, you are absolutely right

Almost unlistenable. I prefer this:

Not surprising, given that it’s become the storm water overflow culvert for leftist bimbos who can’t float in the main creek with the likes of Ariana Grande, Miley Virus, and the rest of those pop sluts.

Don’t these country music nitwits realize that “gun control “ is “good aim”?

country music has been dead for some time....worthless pretty boy and girl singers with silly shallow petty and baseless lyrics...

but since I don't buy or listen to that crap, its all moot to me.....I go for real country or old timey country....nothing much has come out in the last 15 yrs except here and there....

I hear Tracy Lawrence has a new CD coming out though.

Is it Country music if it hates the country that birthed it?

Country Rock, e.g., The Eagles, Firefall, etc., and related Country Folk, e.g., Nicolette Larson, died out about when New Wave and Punk, and acts such as Prince, took over pop.

Before too long, Country became popified (even more) and filled the vacuum. It concomitantly shed most of its genuinely rural, conservative philosophical underpinnings.

Garth Brooks was more the result than the cause of this - and he was not that bad.

Now most Country does not interet me.

One current exception for me: Runaway June. John Wayne’s granddaughter is in the group. Good harmonies.

Rest assured by definition when you hear some airhead begging for “Somebody Do Something” it means things are going to get a whole lot worse. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
