No. Only one song by the MTB that is a classic. Melodic, good hook, and worthy of listening to more than once. “Fire on the mountain.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uMWbZj-gWg

Geez. Thanks for your opinion. If you don’t like MTB, then why post?

One of the comments on the video said:

"No auto tune.... No pathetic, repetitious tripe... No sampling.... Real honest lyrics with real honest music played on real instruments... This music will never return."

I have to agree with that - except for the last five words. There are still lots of great musicians who don't need all of those 'enhancements', and aren't mindless.

Was not responding to you. Did I say I did not like MTB? No, just one song. Learn to read.

I love songs that tell a compelling story, and one of my favorites is “Heard it in a Love Song”.

Great song. Deserves better sonics than my laptop is able to provide.

I miss my Cerwin Vega AT-10s with a receiver and CD player that I mothballed. The best sounding music I get nowadays is in my car.

MTB had more tragedy than the Allmans. Toy Caldwell, who sang this song, died age 45 in the early ‘90s. In 1980, he lost both of his brothers to auto accidents exactly one month apart.

Capricorn was basically floated by MTB and the Allmans but I rather liked the obscura like White Witch and Captain Beyond. Lotta good stuff from GA and FLA of the era.

Actually the entire “Searchin for a Rainbow” Album has every track a classic.

One of my favorites is “Bob Away My Blues”.

“I ain’t never been with a woman long enough, for my boots to get old
We’ve been together so long now they both need re soled”

That is a classic lyric from a classic band right there. I saw Marshall Tucker last year opening up for Alabama. The lead singer’s voice was a bit rough but the band sounded great.
