Left-leaning co-host of "The View," Joy Behar, changed course on the urgency of impeaching President Donald Trump after previously disagreeing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has rebuffed calls for his impeachment .
Following former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's testimony on Wednesday, Behar spoke about why she thinks it's "too distracting" to impeach Trump leading up to the 2020 election — a view she shared with conservative co-host Meghan McCain, who emphasized the importance of winning over swing states.

She finally realized that no amount of frantic reporting about how “obvious” the president’s “crimes” are is going to convince the people when there is no proof, no mention of the supposed crimes? Maybe she even realized that hysterically promoting false accusations makes the media and DemocRATs look bad?

If it takes four years to impeach a President, why bother? The answer is that it doesn’t take four years to impeach a President who should be impeached. Impeachment isn’t a do-over of an election, along with endless recounts, appeals for unfaithful electors, then appeals to the Congress to not count the Electoral College vote, and then appeals to the Vice President and Cabinet to remove the President for incapacity. Impeachment concerns “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” As qualified by the first two reasons, “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” are or should be very serious offenses. To date, we have technically not had any President removed from office via impeachment, although we have had one President who resigned in the face of impeachment.
Joy heard some things during the Mueller hearings that were new to her. Mifsud, Fusion GPS, the Steele Dossier funded by Hillary and the DNC, the Trump Tower set up, etc. And the looming IG report and the Durham investigation into the origins of the Russian hoax are the next shoes to drop.
Gergen mentioned on CNN that there were things mentioned during the Mueller hearings that their audience had not heard discussed before. He dismissed them as right wing talking points, but they were still new to the CNN audience because they had not discussed them before.
Schiff is also saying now that the Dems should move on from impeachment and focus on the 2020 election. Schiff knows his lies are about to be exposed. I suspect that Durham has already convened a grand jury and Schiff is aware of it. Who knows who has already testified before it.
About two-thirds of Dem voters want Trump impeached. The Dems must go thru the motions of still investigating Trump for possible impeachment. Their base demands it. Time is running out. Nadler and his buddies have painted themselves in a corner.
