Associated Press White House correspondent and MSNBC political analyst Jonathan Lemire weighed in on former special counsel Robert Mueller's performance at two Congressional hearings Wednesday. Lemire said, "hot takes" by the media are often wrong and that Democrats, in particular, listen to them.

In terms of what happens next, certainly, yes, a lot of our hot takes are wrong but you know who else hears those hot takes? They are lawmakers and Democrats in particular. And I think there are a lot of Democrats -- we kept hearing over and over the whole, like, they didn't read the book but maybe they will watch the movie. Well, the movie ended up not being that compelling.I think you're hearing a lot from the Democrats who were fairly or not disappointed with what they heard from the special counsel. Where does this move the ball now on impeachment? Does it go anywhere? I think if you're a Democrat who is looking for today to be a moment where you saw that crystalized, I think Democrats are probably disappointed.
