Whereas members of Antifa, because they believe that free speech is equivalent to violence, have used threats of violence in the pursuit of suppressing opposing political ideologies, the resolution states.

About time and 2 years too late!
Will the dems in the house vote no?
If so they might as well forget about the elections next year!

However, there is currently no crime labeled domestic terrorism but the designation does allow law enforcement to investigate a suspects associates and affiliations, the Hill reports. Critics argue that since Antifa does not have a formal organizational structure, labeling a group domestic terrorists could be the beginning of overly broad enforcement. It is dangerous and overly broad to use labels that are disconnected [from] actual individual conduct, said Hina Shamsi, director of the national security project at the American Civil Liberties Union. And as weve seen how terrorism has been used already in this country, any such scheme raises significant due process, equal protection and First Amendment constitutional concerns. Shamsi concluded.
Maybe they should change the oath of office and take out the domestic enemies part, since they have 1st Amendment rights to terrorize. Insanity!

Means nothing unless the House initiates it. The Senate can approve it, but have to send it to the House for them to use for a seat cushion.

"Critics argue that since Antifa does not have a formal organizational structure, labeling a group domestic terrorists could be the beginning of overly broad enforcement."Simply having an open season for anyone wearing typical antifa clothes, masks, carrying a club, and throwing objects would quickly solve antifa violence in a not "overly broad" manner.

since Antifa does not have a formal organizational structure
They have chapters for different regions. They have a logo. They even have uniforms of sorts. They tale over Portland and direct traffic.
Sounds kinda organized to me

What took so long for the Republicans to do this? Should have introduced this resolution 3 years ago.
