Thanks for the clarification. I am still, however, disappointed with the direction of psychiatry - and the very high dependence upon medications for everything (although clearly sometimes they are very important). Psychologists are a hit or miss group in my opinion. Some seem to have significant insight, but others go with current fads (e.g. ‘cognitive behavioral therapy’) and get a lot of money in return for little. Both of these fields need to evolve considerably.

I have mild OCD, which is a nightmare in itself — imagine what people with the full-blown version go through. I am quite happy to be taking both a low-dose psychotropic and an anti-anxiety med to moderate the symptoms.
