With protests moving into summer, summer in France of course is a time for vacations and disruption of normal routines. As we look into the numbers coming in from the protests Saturday July 6th we may have to take that into consideration.
Meanwhile, there's an investigation by the inspector general of France's National Police into the death of an elderly man in his 80's, Zineb Redouane, near the scene of a Yellow Vests protest last December.
There's already visual evidence of CRS riot police firing tear gas at the building in which he lived and of Redouane shuttering his window as the tear gas projectile hit him in the face. He died two days after the December 1st incident....

Paris will be hosting the Olympics in 2024. It will be interesting to see its condition then...and that of Notre Dame.
I applaud the city for wanting to tackle ‘over-tourism’ though. Even though I’m sure many well-meaning tour bus companies are affected. The city belongs to the French, first and foremost. And they deserve to enjoy it in peace.
