Conservatives blast Roberts as turncoat

Chief Justice John Roberts just keeps on breaking conservatives’ hearts.

On two consecutive days this week, Roberts sided with the court’s liberal wing to deliver 5-4 rulings that deeply disappointed right-leaning lawyers and pundits who had been counting on near-certain victory from a court now stocked with a pair of Trump-appointed justices handpicked by conservative legal activists.

John Roberts is David French's dream SCOTUS judge. Like French, Roberts is living in some idyllic past where everyone was cordial to each other and institutions and norms were respected. He thinks playing nice will rebuild trust. Of course, he and French are fools. When the Left takes over the SCOTUS they will jam in a bunch of 5-4 decisions that will make the Warren court appear staid.
