President Trump struck down the possibility of former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley replacing Vice President Mike Pence as his running mate in 2020 during an interview with Fox Business Network Wednesday.
Trump was asked about a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed, which suggested the political swap. Trump affirmed his appreciation for Haley, describing her as a friend and noting her involvement in his campaign, but dismissed the possibility of her future position as his vice president.
I love Nikki. Shes endorsed me. Shes my friend. Shes a part of my campaign, Trump said. But Mike has been a great vice president. Hes a hundred percent.

>>>> The Left wants a Person of Color on the Ticket.
And the Republican DC Insiders obliged them by upping the ante - Nikki Haley not only a poc but a woman to boot.
Is she even eligible to be the replacement of potus?
I’m glad he closed that door. He needs to put a big chest of drawers against it as well.
I wish she was still representing us at the UN.
No, she isn’t eligible. And she might cause him to lose votes because of her duplicity regarding the flag issue and other potential scandals that the Dems will happily bring up.
The Goalpost regarding being a Natural Born Citizen has moved downfield. The Goalposts are only one Yard apart.
Nowadays any Anchor Baby born to an Illegal Invader can become POTUS.
She is NOT your friend, Mr. President. She trashed you after the SOTU speech, if memory serves.
She did not serve you well in the UN.
She was a traitor tot he south as Governor of S. Carolina.
She is dumb as a box of rocks.
Dump her.
Pence is doing just fine. Replacing him would just create chaos for the next election.
Yup. She's an "anchor baby" born in South Carolina. Her parents were both born in India.
The Republican Party tapped South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to deliver its response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night, but her most memorable jabs landed squarely on the GOP’s own Donald Trump. That’s something that didn’t escape — or please — some conservatives.
Haley took clear aim at the GOP front-runner, discussing her family’s immigrant experience while warning against rhetoric that would threaten “the dream that is America” for others.
“During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices,” Haley said from the governor’s residence in Columbia. “We must resist that temptation. No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws, and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country.”

Thanx Jindal too. The republicans seem to know the constitution on this but they say nothing about K Harris
“I would vote for Ron DeSantis, and then he could run for President in 2024”.
My thoughts, exactly.
Pence is a good man but he is too wimpy and not a fighter. We need someone like DeSantis to carry on the fight.
Yes.
Amen to that ... already the top governor of a large state. No disrespect to Greg Abbott.
Why is everyone worked up about Nikki? She was about to get run out of NY because of her free flights.
Trump wants no one on his team getting more attention than he.
Amen. Ron DeSantis 2024
“Pence was very quiet during the height of the coup attempt. And he is weak on immigration and has neocon perma-war tendencies.”
I wouldn’t mind seeing Pence replaced with a charismatic conservative nationalist who is more exciting than mr. white bread.
Moot point, anyway. It’s clear Trump is sticking with Pence.
Her parents moved from India to Canada so her father could attend graduate school. He got his PhD in 1969, and then moved to South Carolina to settle and find work.
Haley was born in January, 1972. That would be, at best, four years after her father graduated. Considering that a foreigner has to establish five years of residency before being eligible for citizenship, there would not have been any time between when her parents arrived and she was born.
Haley is in the same situation as Kamala Harris; she's the daughter of two foreigners not here long enough to establish residency. In Haley's case, her father was a student in Canada and had to have had a green card when she was born. In Harris' case, her parents were students in the United States, here on student visas and not permanent resident alien visas until after they graduated.

Haley did a fine job at the U.N., but Pence is a good VP. No need to change a winning lineup.
So what? You're not the only Freeper to say this. The Supreme Court is not going to disqualify a presidential candidate just because that person has foreign parents.
