I remember when the song came out. It took me a while to decide if I liked it. I like it.
First I have heard of “Yatch Rock” as a musical genre.
First time I have heard the expression “Yacht Rock”.
It was a sensuous song.
Back then I would put her album on the record player and read some Carlos Castaneda.
"...Your throw pillows are monogrammed...aren't they?"
Great song.
That was such a great song. There was so much variety and innovation in pop songs back then unlike today.
Where and when did this “yacht rock” name originate? It’s like it popped up everywhere this week. What in the world?
She sounds sexy and I like the smooth guitar. What more is needed?
Melissa Manchester and Jennifer Warnes would be pretty good on Yacht Rock.
I have zero idea what the term Yacht Rock means.
I do however love this song. Mostly because of he playful/whimsical way of singing the lyrics
Rumor has it that at any given time, at least 40 per cent of the Sirius audience has this channel dialed in. By far, the most popular channel on the satellite network. (There's a Yacht Rock station on Spotify as well)
It's life changing. Every song is pretty much perfect. Not a lot of women singers however and I'm petitioning to get this song by Maria Muldaur added to the playlist.
I'm also thinking "Chuck E's In Love" by Rickie Lee Jones would be a nice addition.
So whatever happened to her?
Living well somewhere, one would hope?
The memories attached to this song...so sweet.
Never heard of “yacht rock.”
One of the hits featuring Jim Gordon, on drums.

Mrs Submareener and I caught Warren Zevons last tour in Annapolis, MD in 1999. She was there and sang the song. Fantastic!
