The problem is, Biden is just the type of person the average democrat is used to voting for. Young progressives might, as they did in 2016, help derail the democrats, by voting for Bernie, or some version of Bernie; even if Biden comes out as a progressive, they’ll go for the most outrageous candidate instead.

Biden is a place holder for another. He will fold after the second debate. A new person will come forward—I am banking on Hickenlopper with the Black lady who lost the Governorship in Georgia.
I don't think America is ready for a president who is a flamer with a HUSBAND, no experience, no accomplishments, and a true communist background. Trump would CRUSH him, a 48 state victory.

Yeah. That’s not going to fly well with the blue collar crowd, farmers, etc. My friend’s husband is a raging lib — I’d say he’s a socialist — from Pittsburgh. Even he has a huge problem with homosexuality. They took the grandkids to Disney World once, but never again, as they were surrounded with homo PDAs.
I was watching MSNBC yesterday (my in-laws watch it so I am a captive audience) and the recurring theme was “Hillary is not running for President in 2020.” To me, that is Demspeak for, “Hillary is not running, but she could be recruited at the rat convention.”
I give Biden 0% chance.
If Democrats were unwilling to nominate him in the past due to all his “flaws” they will not nominate him now when purity is their test.
He is only leading the pack due to name recognition....nothing more.

Agree. I think the sudden rise of Warren in the “polls” is the beginning of the take-down of Biden. They realize he’s a doddering old fool and have seen early on he hasn’t the strength, stamina, or quick thinking needed to take on Trump....or even make it past the primaries without an oxygen tank. They do NOT want Sanders, as he means outright socialism, but they think Warren is the next best pick.
Probably 1:10. He will screw up and someone else will say some witty, funny, or biting response to a debate question.
Next week he will come across as a foolish old white guy. And the decline will start.
The good news is he might get 20-30 delegates this time.

Mayor Pete wont win the general election but if Creepy Joe falters and Biden is the only remaining challenger, Mayor Pete looks good all of a sudden.
