media outlets ranging from Vice to the Daily Beast to, just today, the New York Times have employed the term brainwashing, almost entirely uncritically.
The problem with that, which apparently has occurred to none of these outlets whose writers from time to time advertise their reverence for science, is that there is no such thing as brainwashing. It is a concept with no scientific basis, generally regarded as pseudoscience. It is mainly a literary device, one popularized by The Manchurian Candidate.
Brainwashing is right up there with recovered memories, multiple-personality disorder, homeopathy, chiropractic, reiki, the anti-vaccine movement, and the terror of GMO vegetables in the catalogue of voguish nonsense that has made its way at least partly into the mainstream of American life.
Everybody loves science until they dont.

You spelled "NPC" wrong.
If BIG TOBACCO hadn’t dreamt up such an exceptionally effective brainwashing campaign (product placement in film and TV and print and electronic advertising), 44 million Americans probably wouldn’t still be stupid enough to smoke cigarettes.
Both daughters had developed constant headaches. The one had dull headaches all the time but could get through them. The other one had terrible pain.
In both cases their jaws were out of alignment. Our physical therapist had discovered this source of chronic headaches years ago and worked with a dentist to develop mouth guards to help realign the jaw.
The girls still wear them at night. The pain was gone shortly after wearing them.
He and the dentist wrote a paper about it and presented it at some dental conference. They were both called out on it, it wasn’t possible, fake, etc. If they ever tried to do this again they would both be disbarred (or whatever) from their professions.
Of course they still do it. I’m just not supposed to tell anybody about it!
Oh - with the first daughter they did cat scans, MRI’s, but had no clues, and we were just about to sign up for exploratory surgery because she was always in constant pain. Thank goodness my wife had the idea to mention it to our physical therapist!
He does this goofy test where he puts pressure on the body part that is out of alignment, and it takes the strength of your arm muscle. For example he’ll work his way up my ribs and touch a rib, pull on my arm. Good ribs he can’t move my arm. Ribs out of place he can move my arm. He sets the ribs back in place, I ice for a couple of days and I’m as good as new again.
Anyway - did the test on daughter’s jaw - arm goes down. So he did some tests with her bite and wrote down some numbers for her to take to his special dentist. She took awhile with various sets of retainers at varying thicknesses to get her jaw right over time.
Daughter 2 with the chronic but less severe headaches just needed one set of retainers.
He treated a neighbor gal of ours after she had told us her story of all the doctors she had seen over the years for chronic pain in her back. She couldn’t sleep, couldn’t work, etc.
Most people ignore us - but she went to him.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! The night after my FIRST visit with him I slept through the night. First time in 8 years!” She now works and lives a decent life.
Boy - a long way off of brainwashing! Or maybe not. I think a lot of these medical “professionals” have brainwashed us into thinking that they have all the answers, and you need to take their drugs and have their operations.
The soul becomes more dense and solid thus creating greater distance if the person encounters more low frequency stored memories of fear, anger, guilt......
This accumulation is what shuts the soul down causing its ability to physically connect and function in the body by causing illness and eventually death.
Love is the higher frequency building block for the soul as it is the glue that holds the soul together and provides good health.
All religions are merely theories and philosophies of the anatomy & physiology of the human soul and how it interacts with its environment. They are for the most part correct but not complete. I am Christian as Jesus’s teachings are very accurate.
The jaw was merely the anchor point in their physical bodies for tension in their souls for memories containing unreleased emotions. The tension in the muscle is the soul attempting to block the retrieval.
I’ve frequently encountered the same situation in athletes where the memory of an injury blocks the injury from healing.
I’m glad that both daughters got some help. The jaw alignment concept is one I heard about before.
Good questions...
Narcissism is a dominant masculine aspect of consciousness with little emotional or feminine aspect.
Narcissists are logical. They have little or no empathy or compassion. Thus they do not create the dense emotional wounds in their souls.
Narcissists also do not feel love. They create a checklist and use is as a scorecard to logically determine if there is love in a relationship.
They do however feel severe pain if love is pulled away.
The narcissistic soul does not grow due to the lack of love.
When I am near a narcissist, it is like being near a piece of furniture as the energy flow is minimal. The love that holds the soul together is missing, usually from early childhood.
In many ways, the autistic child is the ultimate narcissist as they can’t relate to the feelings of others.
