Roy Moore hits back at Trump in defiant interview
Politico ^ | May 29, 2019 | James Arkin

A defiant Roy Moore brushed aside Donald Trump’s warning not to run for Senate again, telling POLITICO on Wednesday that Alabama voters are capable of deciding for themselves whether he’s fit for office.

“The president doesn’t control who votes for the United States Senate in Alabama,” Moore said in a phone interview. “People in Alabama are smarter than that. They elect the senator from Alabama, not from Washington, D.C.” The scandal-plagued former judge said he is “seriously considering” running for Senate again and plans to decide in a “few weeks.”

I am a Alabamian.

I will not vote for Roy Moore.

In the primary in 2017, I voted for Mo Brooks. I did vote for Judge Moore in the general election, but will not vote for him ever again.

My worry is he’ll still get the very religious right in the primary. That can be worth 25-35% of the vote.

Anyway, I’ll vote for the former Auburn football coach over this guy! Roll Tide!

Exactly. The conservative base didn’t come out.

Trump’s great numbers in Alabama on 8 November 2016 were cut in HALF on 13 Dec 2017. Tens of thousands stayed home and didn’t vote at all. Jones democrat voters were about the same as Hillary’s in 2016.

Conservative can easily win in Alabama—it’s one of the most conservative states in the USA—but they need to get off their tails and actually vote.

Any other Republican wins by at least 15 points in Alabama even against a likable but leftist challenger. You blew it. Go away.

Hey Roy! Do something for your country. Stay out of the 2020 election. We need someone who can win the seat and support Trump. Stay home and play with your horsey.

Polutico seems to be promoting Moore.
This should tell everyone where his funding is coming from.

The Democrats, including Roy’s alleged teenage “girlfriends” from 30 yrs ago, want to run against Moore. Isn’t that why they withheld the dirt on Moore until he had beaten Luther Strange in the primary?

Recount paper ballots? Al Franken would win again.

Doesn't matter how many ballots you count that were found in somebody's trunk, Al still wins.

There are several techniques for vote fraud that aren't solved by a simple recount.

The paper ballots are not what is counted. A digital copy of the paper ballots are counted. Those are what the votes counts are constructed from.

Strangely, the AL Supreme Court overruled the order of a lower court to preserve those digital records, and they were destroyed.

The election was fraudulent. Basically, the guy who the powers-that-be want is the guy who wins.

The law on ballot retention, which was passed by Republican supermajorities in the House and Senate and signed by a Republican governor, only requires that paper ballots be retained.

The court allowed the images of those ballots to be destroyed in accordance with the law.

If a recount is asked for, it is done based on the paper ballots.

Yeah, no kidding. But if fraud occurred, it’s easily and quickly discernible in the digital counts. So those are immediately destroyed. There is literally no other reason to destroy them. A thousand years of those records could be stored in a $20 thumb drive.

A state-wide paper ballot recount would have to happen to find fraud, so you rig the digital count so that the paper recount thresholds don’t happen.

Total electoral control is easily achieved.

“In Alabama, we have voter ID requirements, no early voting, and limited absentee voting. Are you saying these measures don’t work?”

What I do know is that huge amounts were spent against him and an army of people travelled to Alabama to try to defeat his candidacy. What I do know from my personal experience was the chilling erasure by an anti-Roy Moore computer algorithm of an fresh news article just hours after the polls closed, quoting several poll workers claiming that ballots were not being counted, were being carted off, etc. I made an attempt to forward such an article to my friends on Facebook, but the FB system blocked the transmission and sent me a note saying it “did not meet FB’s” Community Standards”! Whether the claim was true or not, I of course, don’t know, but it was completely clear and mighty chilling to me was that the fix was in at Facebook to support the effort to get Moore’s opponent certified as winner before possible fraud was publicized. The FB system censored all articles about Roy Moore on Facebook until locals could destroy evidence of how the count took place. That told me that the forces agains Roy Moore were dishonest ones , taking the same angle they tried against Kavanaugh.
