New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman proposed building a big beautiful border wall. The only reason he is making such a proposal is that he knows the Democrats' current position on opposing this wall is political suicide. Friedman wants the Democrats to at least PRETEND to support building such a wall because he knows that their opposition to border security will deliver victory to Donald Trump in 2020 and since he suffers from extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome he knows his mental health is at stake if Trump is re-elected.

There is nothing nuts about Friedman.
He just does as he is paid to do.
Since he could go elsewhere and get paid just as handsomely to tell the truth, he is indeed crazy.

Tom “the world is flat because I say so” Friedman was openly mocked by my leftist fellow grad students way back when. His only constituency are boomers who fantasize about being invited to Davos, when they can’t even wing an invite to a Jehovah’s Witness coffee.
