Presidential candidate Cory Booker characterized his colleague and 2020 opponent Elizabeth Warrens proposals to break up tech giants as a Donald Trump thing to say" and called for a president that's going to enforce antitrust laws.
I dont think that a president should be running around pointing at companies and saying breaking them up without any kind of process, Booker, D-N.J., said in an interview Saturday on ABC News This Week.
Booker said that he believes instead of calling for companies like Facebook, Amazon and Google to be broken up, there should be a process to address corporate consolidation, declaring it a massive problem in America.

Whatever.
After all the talk about youth and diversity etc. etc on the left it’s gonna be an old white guy
The tech giants are solidly behind the communists who have taken over the Democratic Party.
Didn't Lizzie get the word?
This may be telling us that Warren isn't in the loop...isn't part of the new circle in the Democratic Party which is controlled by the communists.
She is odd man out because she is just too damn old and is too much of a long shot to worry about for the new management of the Democratic Party.
No, Corey - bloated, socialist government is the massive problem.
As if any of them would be held to account for any “Trumpian” promise that they used to get elected.
Just look at Obama’s lies.
When Obama was elected, the party still had some old American Democrats who might have gone either way re: their votes.
Those guys are either dead now or are a microscopic minority. Nowadays, the commies are in charge. Lizzie the Squaw is just out of the loop.
And it begins.
The Dem primary is going to be an absolute blood bath. Going to be awesome to watch tear each other apart.
Super funny.
It’s both because they are one and the same.
Think about it.
The check must have cleared into Spartacus’s account.
The anti-trust dismantling of AT&T create several successful local phone companies which were subsequently bought up by AT&T in several “reliability” consolidation mergers.
Maybe Booker, Sanders, or Buttpegg will suggest “socilizing”/”nationalizing” big tech as Marxist Waters (D-unce) said should be done to Big Oil.
Yes that’s partially true. Of course there is still Verizon left. The world has changed quite a bit since 1983. There is no monopoly on phone service these days and no shortage of choices.
FB is basically a monopoly but it is a free service. I think what FB faces is potential regulation more so than being broken up. Political discrimination needs to be dealt with.
No big surprise when the Democrats lack excellence they’ll stick with diversity and old long time do nothing politicians.
