And they knew they were being spied on. I remember some weird news dispatch in the summer of 2015 it seems that Trump was not too hot on having some meetings in Washington D.C. and they were being careful, because—at the time—the article said they were wary of spying on them by FBI or CIA or both.

If the NY Times knows Papadopoulos was asked a direct question by Azra Turk: Was the Trump campaign working with Russia? - they damn well know his answer, which had to be a resounding, NO - but this isn't reported, nor mentioned by the flack media.
