As I wait for thunderstorms to (hopefully) arrive in Broward County, I recount why I am so fascinated by this weather phenomena which has to do with an incredibly bizarre childhood incident I observed which seemed almost supernatural at the time (and still does). Please check out the website I show in this video, lightningmaps.org, because it is an incredible tool to use while you watch my live stream thunderstorm videos. It allows you to see how far away from me the lightning strikes hit plus shows the sound waves as they expand out from those strikes.
p.s. Yeah, I know that Thor is a NORSE, not Greek god.

You need a hobby
Maybe my hobby IS thunderstorms. BTW, according to the lightningmaps.org, there have been several lightning strikes way to the west of me in the middle of the Everglades but they are infrequent right now.
That's always been an important goal of mine.

I thought it was providing proper crack pipe etiquette tips.
Florida has the highest lightning activity in the country.
Yup! BTW, right now the most INTENSE lighting activity in the USA is southeast of San Angelo, TX. With my lightningmaps.org sound on the ticking sounds are so frequent it sounds like popcorn going off. Check it out.
I have lightningmaps.org bookmarked on my phone.
I'm multi-faceted.
Don't paint me into a crack pipe corner.
Great! When I do my thunderstorm live streams center the map at Commercial Blvd. (870) and University Dr. in Broward County. That way you can see how close the lightning strikes come to where I will be recording at. BTW, there is WiFi I can pick up from that location so I can see just how close those strikes come on my Fire Pad.
We are now getting a few lightning strikes in Broward County but not enough to get excited about. Now in wait and see mode until about 6 PM.
They really should have thunder claps instead of a single click sound for each strike... :-)
Very cool. But it looks like I’ll have to wait ‘til tomorrow afternoon for our next storm possibility.
The good news is there might be a thunderstorm here in Broward tomorrow afternoon. If so, I will record it. Right now there are increasing lightning to the south and west of me, mostly in the Everglades. I think it around 8 to 9 the frequency increases by just a little bit, I will live stream tonight. Also once the sun sets, it will be easier to see the lightning flashes in the distance.
Well, it looks like tomorrow afternoon for me too. The weather is clearing up now but they say 90% chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. If so, I will be out recording it.
