Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
The legacy of Rod Rosenstein is a complicated one, and one that, as we will discuss later in this piece, is far from through being compiled.
Some conspiracy theorists on Twitter and some fringe websites like to portray Rosenstein as an American hero, a Machiavellian schemer who makes Machiavelli himself look like a novice in his tireless efforts to protect President Donald Trump as he out-conspiracies the Deep State Cabal that operated within the DOJ and FBI throughout 2016 and 2017. In this scenario, every action Rosenstein has taken since coming into the Trump Administration as Deputy Attorney General in early 2017 has been part of an incredibly complex “Slow Walker” plan schemed up by Donald Trump even before the 2016 elections, a plan that Rosenstein has spent the last two-plus years carrying out.
It’s all a lot of “stuff and nonsense,” to quote the late, great James J. Kilpatrick. Rod Rosenstein is a bad guy. A very, very bad guy, and unlike operation Slow Walker, there is a ton of very public evidence to support that assessment.
For starters, this is a guy who in one week in May 2017 wrote a three-page memo to President Trump detailing myriad reasons why then-FBI Director and current Teen Drama Queen James Comey needed to be fired, and then the very next week turned around and appointed his pal and Comey’s best friend, Robert Mueller, to become a “special counsel” partly to investigate whether Comey’s firing amounted to “obstruction of justice.” The Rosenstein has hero people want you to believe that was all a highly patriotic act schemed up by Trump himself.
Holy crap.
Rosenstein is a guy who wrote not one, but two scoping memos for Mueller that allowed the “special counsel” to basically function as a completely out-of-control Witch Hunt, a completely open-ended “investigation” with no limitations or legal side bars. Rosenstein then spent the next year and a half working feverishly to ensure that neither of those two memos could be made public. We haven’t seen them to this day.
Rosenstein is a guy actively pushed the idea of having President Trump removed from office under the scope of the 25th Amendment, and at one point volunteered to wear a wire to meetings with the President in an effort to entrap him in some bad act, according to at least two people who have testified under oath to congress. The pushers of Operation Slow Walker want you to believe that Trump planned that, too.
In the Operation Slow Walker scheme, even Jeff Sessions’ idiotic move to recuse himself and set Rosenstein up as the de facto Attorney General was all just a part of Trump’s “5D Chess” conspiracy to entrap the Deep State. I’m not kidding. In that role as de facto Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein sat by and did nothing as Robert Mueller hired a staff of 19 leftwing Clinton/Obama hacks. Rosenstein then sat by as Mueller essentially functioned as Chief of the American Gestapo, allowing his activist staff to order the FBI to knock down doors in the middle of the night and terrorize elderly American citizens who had yet to be accused of any crime.
Rosenstein sat idly by as Mueller and his staff bullied, threatened and destroyed the financial life of a real American hero, General Mike Flynn, who had spent his entire adult life serving his country. Rosenstein, the hero of Operation Slow Walker, sat idly by as Mueller and his band of Gestapo thugs convinced a judge to sentence Paul Manafort – a near-70 year-old man accused of financial crimes having zero to do with “Russia Collusion” – to month after month of solitary confinement.
Rosenstein sad idly by as his buddy Mueller and his thugs deployed no fewer than 37 FBI agents armed with kevlar vests, automatic weapons, tear gas and even – I’m not kidding here – TANKS in the wee hours of the morning to arrest a thin, frail senior citizen named Roger Stone, terrorizing Stone’s wife who suffers from frail health in the process. Stone’s alleged “crime”? Having communications via email with Julian Assange. Not kidding.
This is the “hero” of Operation Slow Walker. What a load of horse manure.
Rosenstein was able to operate with impunity while the useless, neutered Jeff Sessions was in the AG’s office. It is crystal clear that, had Sessions remained in that office, the Mueller operation would still be going today with no end in sight. But Sessions’ resignation (he was really fired, let’s be honest) put a leash on Rosenstein and Mueller when Matthew Whitaker assumed the office as Acting AG. That leash got tugged hard when William Barr was named as the permanent AG.
Rosenstein’s “resignation” was intentionally timed to take place after the issuance of the Mueller report, so that he would be there to support Barr’s assessment of it, and before the issuance of the coming FISA Abuse report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. Barr needs Rosenstein as a witness in any criminal cases that arise from the Horowitz report – Rosenstein was also the signatory on one of the fraudulent FISA applications – something Rosenstein could not do if he were still employed at DOJ.
Coincidentally, Rosenstein’s final day in office will also come two years to the week after he wrote the 3-page memo recommending Comey’s firing.
This guy’s no hero, he’s just another deep state skunk, like his pals Comey and Mueller. The public evidence indicates he was a willing and active, leading participant in an effort to effect a coup d’etat on American soil, an effort that thankfully failed. Once Barr was named Attorney General, Rosenstein likely made a deal to save his own skin, and is probably now working as a cooperating witness in order to save his pension.
Rod Rosenstein was the architect and enabler of the Mueller Witch Hunt, nothing less, nothing more. Our government is well rid of him, but we will most likely be seeing and hearing much more from him in the future in an entirely different role.

Why didn’t the Mueller report indict the President?
Yes, I know there was no there there, but that would not have mattered if Mueller was the inside guy to bring down the President.
He could have lied in the report and the media and Congress would have happily accepted his lie as fact. He did not do that.
Without the Mueller investigation we would not know much about what the FBI and the DOJ did before and after the election. A case can be made that the entire Mueller investigation hurt the Democrats (and their friends in the media) more than it hurt President Trump. Is Mueller so incompetent that he was not aware of what his investigation was doing to the Democrats?
We now know that President Trump was tipped off shortly after elected about the “coup” going on. What did he do, who did he turn to for help. The President (any President) has a lot of assets to call on. The US Marshal service for one.
The conspirators know what they did so over the next few weeks they should be watched to see what they do.
Whatever they do, they should not go near Fort Marcy Park.
I’ll beleive the coup failed when all the plotters are in prison. Get back to me when the arrests begin. IMHO they are all being Smolletted at this moment.

Mueller was there to cover up the FISA and other abuses that were used pre-election to spy on the Trump team for Hillary. Had she won, "Russian Interference" into our elections would have quickly faded away as an issue.
Mueller could not have lied in his report, because he would have been called out on it, and the entire report could have been dismissed.
Instead, Mueller lays out an intricate story of salacious material (for example, Mueller quoting Trump as saying "I'm F'ed" in the report when that didn't need to be in there at all, and certainly not as such a graphic quote,) then at the very end saying "nothing rose to the level of a crime."
The whole point of the FISA warrants, and the Mueller investigation into all of Trump's business partners and family, was to find something, anything, with which to hang Trump. Once that juicy tidbit was uncovered and used against Trump, the world would soon forget all about the abuse of the FISA court.
The problem was, in spite of looking for TWO YEARS, and squeezing sleezeballs like Cohen for every drop of information they might have, nothing turned up, and nobody "rolled over" on Trump. That was Mueller's biggest problem. He couldn't find anything to pin on Trump.
Were I a betting man, even I would have bet that given the vast resources of an unlimited DOJ budget, the resources of the FBI, and a bunch of slimeballs willing to testify against him in order to save their own skins, that Mueller would have come up with something from Trump's past by now.
I mean, how do you deal in Real Estate in NYC for 40+ years without making some shady deals with "those guys" who think it would be a shame if something happened to that nice building. Concrete deliverys, trash hauling, dealing with Teamster unions, greasing the skids to get permits approved; somewhere, Trump must have slipped up and committed a crime that someone would testify to.
BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND A THING. And that was the most frustrating part for Mueller.
Now comes DOJ Inspector General Horowitz's report into the FISA mess, and before the 2020 elections we shall see some heads roll. Unfortunately, not sHrillary's head, and not Obummer's head, but probably Comey, and possibly Loretta Lynch.
I completely beleive Trump would love to “go after” them. Maybe even Barr. Who knows, maybe even Lindsey Graham, but him I doubt as he is probably gonna want to protect his Never Trumper friends. As of this date, in spite of people wanting to “go after” folks no one has been “got”. Sure, “the wheels grind slowly” but two damn years and not one arrest is glacial. The GOP at this point is selling the line “if you don’t like Trump don’t vote for him” which ignores the question of “How do we maintain a country where coup plotters go unpunished, 100, 000 illegals are flooding in every month”? It’s obvious to me at this point that we can’t. We can’t stop the flow, we can’t stop the corruption at the top, we can’t do a lot of things that need doing. Not with the people who are actually running things in power.
Tl/dr. Mueller’s mission was to put Trump in the same box Hillary was in. “...doesn’t rise to the level of prosecution...”. The fact Trump committed no crime was just a minor inconvenience, when you own CNN, NBC, NY Times, etc.

I am more than sure that several folks that were held over from the Zero Reign of Error have contingency plans that involve quick transfer of body and wealth to a non-extradition country.
Obama, Holder, Jarret, Felonia von Pantsuit ... all have such plans in place. Once they flee only John Wick will be able to administer justice.
Make no mistake, the mission was not to put Trump in the same box as sHrillary.
The mission of Mueller was to find enough to impeach Trump. Period.
Great summary. About the only thing you left out was how we were told by many endlessly that Mueller was supposedly secretly investigating Hillary, instead, and was going to indict Podesta first, even though all the leaks proved Trump was the true target by way of Flynn and Manafort. It is amazing to witness how many believe(d) this tripe about Rosenstein and Mueller, 100%, despite the grave danger the President was subject to, and still is.
As frustrating as all of this has been for the 60+ million that voted for him, I don’t think this could have played out any better. There is still the IG report, another one, that is on the way and that one, morphed from the previous one because of all the dirty sh*t they were doing.
Yes, there were some absolute criminal, treasonous snakes in the FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, all who played a part in this, plus the previous occupant of the White House and his minions. They set all of this up as an “insurance policy”, just in case. If she had won, we’d know nothing and we can all imagine, now, what they’d be able to do to a normal guy, let alone a duly elected President.
But, I firmly believe that the President has known and continues to learn a lot more than he’s ever let on. Why?
1. Admiral Rogers .... travels to Florida and tells him what’s going on. With that, I’m betting that during that trip, other information was passed along with an assurance that anything else will be passed on as well. Adm Rogers has to have had at least a few loyal employees in there, that were willing to lend a hand
2. Weiner ... and his laptop. NYPD TARU got a hold of that laptop and found the emails. The President is a bit of a folk hero in NYC, by those in uniform. His former security director was NYPD. Do any of you think there’s a possibility that a copy or two of what was on that computer MAY have made its way to the right people?
3. I don’t think it would be a stretch to say we all hate, or at least have very negative feelings toward the FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, FISC, etc, for good reason, because of what all these players did to weaponize their respective agencies. But, I’m also betting that there are a few patriots left in them that were able to provide some “information” about the goings on. Did any show up in Congress requesting, whistleblower status? Nope. But, I’m betting that there were some that were able to provide certain people, certain information. Does that mean all if forgiven? F*CK NO!!!
4. Strzok, Page, Comey, Mueller, etc etc, et al ... their arrogance, incompetence and contempt for the American people is what brought all of this on. They are so f*cking dumb that it boggles the mind. Their arrogance allowed them to commit crimes. Not only commit crimes, but also make no attempt in trying to hide what they were doing because they were so confident that she would win and all of this would be swept under the rug, that they were blatant about it.
Prior to this train wreck, most of us would look at an FBI Director, AG, Special Counsel, FBI lawyer, DOJ lawyer, CIA Director, Asst Dir of FBI, US Ambassador, etc and say .... “Man, that person must be the best of the best. They must have really worked hard and must be in the top 1% of the 1% of their agency to get that position”. Now we know that all you, pretty much, have to be is an insanely biased, political hack, willing to break the law, try to frame a man that has done nothing and commit treason.
We know who the conspirators are. They show up on CNN nightly. They don’t appear worried to me. Like any good crime boss I doubt they have fingerprints on any incriminating evidence. Their underlings however should be worried and talking to investigators. Will they turn state witness and point fingers to their boss? I doubt it. Swamp creatures have generations of spawn and family working in the swamp. Once you turn against the swamp your family is out and the gravy train ends. Your future swamp children will have to work in the private sector and forgo exclusive colleges and interns at the NYT.
Look at David Plouffe, Obama’s 2008 campaign manager. He finished is college degree via correspondence in 2010. He left the White House in 2013 and received a swamp job at ABC News. He then got a swamp lobbying gig at Uber in 2014. He left Uber in 2017 and now is working at the swampy Chan Zukerberg Initiative. Along with his debutante wife, he paid $7,625,000 for a house in San Francisco in 2016.
The only way you get a swamp creature to turn is to threaten a lengthy prison sentence on them and their associates. Look what they are giving up.
Here is a theory:
Mueller deep down is basically an honest guy, but one that hates both Trump and 'bad guys' in general. His hate for these two overrides his honesty, thus he rationalizes (to himself) his bad actions to bring these people down (They deserve what they get!).
That 'over ride' allowed him to take the actions he did in Boston and now with the Mueller investigation. But he reached a breaking point, possibly after what was done to Stone.
So how does he extricate himself and somehow save face?
He writes an honest report, that was Part I, clearing the President of any crime. That is the 'honest' Mueller coming out.
He then writes Part II - Obstruction. He removes himself from the decision to indict and punts the ball down the road. That is the 'enough is enough' Mueller coming out; 'Trump is a bad guy, but I am done. Have at it if you want.' Is the message he is delivering.
Notice two things in the aftermath of the report:
Mueller's silence, but more importantly the silence of the cabal of Trump haters he hired. They know Part I is real: No Crime. They were pacified with Part II.
FBI Director Wray also needs to be fired. He was complicit in covering up the coup after he became the Director of the FBI.
And when does Trump start issuing pardons for his allies?
Typically pardons come in the last week of one’s presidency.
Absolutely. I think he’s as corrupt as all of them. They can argue all they want that the FBI Director shouldn’t have any loyalty to any one or anything but the law. Wray, I think, has clearly demonstrated that he’s all about protecting his former co-workers.
Be really nice to see a no-nonsense former police chief in that position.
