Classic from Depeche Mode. Enjoy.

There’s a radio station in Germany that plays nothing but Depeche Mode, 24 hours a day. It’s actually pretty good — if you like DM.
Very dreary and weird..........grungers must love it.
Well, you obviously wasn’t a teen in the 80s like I was.
I prefer “Precious” by Depeche Mode.
My tastes were more Dire Straits and classical music being in my late thirties at the time.
Listening to it makes me melancholy and my mind always thinks of what could have been, if familial forces on her side hadn't interloped into our lives. I prefer not to listen.😞
DM. Boring. I had ten cassette tapes by New Order and listened to them daily for a year while working. One day I took the set of New Order tapes to the local record shop in Berkeley and said, “Hi, can I give you these tapes?” The guy said, “New Order? Sure. Why?” I said, “I listened to them too much.” He said, “That happened to me with Portis Head.” God Machine made their debut tape at that time.

Great song that reminds me of my Freshman year in College. I owned the CD and played it constantly.
Thanks for posting. I think I’ll go to Apple Music and listen to the entire album.
Thank you. Love them.
Also Duran Duran. And Peter Schilling. 80s New Wave in general.
Amen sister.
Always thought DM were the worst in so-called post-punk. Everyone was trying to be Joy Division back then, except the ones who weren’t. That’s why so-called NWOBHM appealed to me more.
Depeche Mode and “enjoy” in the same sentence?
Yes, Depeche Mode definitely isn’t for everyone! It belongs to what I like think of as the “moaning homo genre” and is an acquired taste. I can certainly see why it’s so popular in Germany . . .
The Alarm was my favorite!
