I went to work for myself in 2003, tired of working for someone else-I love it-the fellow Boomers I know are doing the same-ditching the 9-5 for their own small businesses, hiring people to work for them, etc-but we all hire help from right here in BFE-especially the 16-22-24 year olds-workers the same age who live in the city are lazy, whining snowflakes who want $15 per hr. to load and unload materials and tools on a jobsite-useless...
I’ll just bet they are like that in other cities-so no wonder they are unemployed. With that going on, none of us should retire-we’ll just keep the money we would have paid them-works for me...
I’ll bet that not one of the 26 million illegal aliens here is unemployed.

By far the biggest problem they are having is that they want to discriminate based on age and even sometimes race/gender (against white males). Skilled people are out there but they millennial HR chicks don’t want them.

Really, are you counting the morons who are too lazy to work? A few days ago, I ran into a lazy American. I was at a convenience store coming home from a day of mowing 9 acres. A lady was outside asking for money. The store was hiring, but I said, I’m getting something to eat, so I’ll buy you something,she said No thanks, I don’t want anything in there, which means she wants money for drugs or alcohol. I said, if you don’t want to eat here, I’ll get you something from McDonald’s or Chik Fil A. No, she didn’t want that. I got annoyed with her so I said they are hiring, but she said she is disabled. I went to the store and told the manager, so she (the manager) said she been standing there for a while, but she told her to leave. She got on her bicycle and left. I said she has a disability - Laziness...

I have an in-house Electrician (Beau) who also keeps his Plumbing License up to date - and while he can only officially ‘plumb’ ya on the outside of the house for Union Purposes, he HAS installed 5 new toilets for me in the past eight years, PLUS two new water heaters.
(We were selling two homes during that time.)
He’s a heckofa handy guy to have around! ;)
