This place is getting more like facebook and twitter, stealthly deleting posts for not stated reasons.
Sometimes whole topics.
You don't know they're gone until you browse your comments and find they don't exist anymore.
Way to go censors. 20+ year guy here and i will say this is a new level of low.
Read it while you can, i am sure whoever's deleting comments tonight will not want to have this out there.
Try here at you convenience and see what you get
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?m=all;o=time;q=quick;s=bulls
Breitbart / Disqus does this when I mention George Soros.
No to what??
I was referring to the series of threads I saw on Sunday evening - 5 or 6 of them - all gone (at your discretion.)
AND I support your RIGHT to censor whatever you want.
Please read my posts on the topic. Maybe you accidentally lumped me in with someone else?
Oh, you could be referring to the series of anti-Catholic threads I pulled?
Yes, Jim. It was one of those anti-Q troll threads, but with a difference that may explain why it was allowed to exist for over 4 days and something more than 1079 posts.
Amidst the usual noise an actual productive and unifying discussion was taking place with some quite well thought posts. And lots of people had their noise filters working well enough to participate gracefully.
You are wise to wall off the Q battles, because actual modern warfare goes on there. (Like the Generals I keep trying to get people to pay attention to, have been telling us.) (See my post #17 in this thread.)
Were learning to archive now, so no worries! We all appreciate FR, and your efforts to keep it relevant and keep the peace.
Thanks Jim. Free Republic is my choice for a base of operations.
That means my work in this thread is done.
(And I can get back to "The Ongoing Education of Bagster".)
Then the revenue just POURS in.
I love this place.
One last note.
When I started trying to get people to pay attention to
General Brown’s March 3rd video, what, a week or so ago?...
That video only had hundreds of views.
Not the almost 1.2 million it has today.

Aww don't be so...Humble.
But that does not mean all posts will be pulled which attack Catholic beliefs or that of any others, since the RMs' own rules state (excerpts),
It is ok to express hatred towards CatholicISM on open Religion Forum threads. It is never ok to express hatred towards Catholics because some Freepers are Catholic. It is ok to express hatred towards ProtestantISM on open Religion Forum threads. It is never ok to express hatred towards Protestants because some Freepers are Protestant. The main guideline to posting on the Religion Forum: Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.... However, when a poster paints with a brush that accuses an entire religion of criminal behavior - his post will be pulled as flame bait.
Posters may argue for or against beliefs, deities, religious authorities, etc. They may tear down others beliefs. They may ridicule. Open RF debate is often contentious. It requires thick skin. A poster must be able to make his points while standing his ground, suffering adverse remarks about his beliefs - or letting them roll off his back. Members of religions which are as much culture as belief sometimes take religious debate personally. If you keep getting your feelings hurt because other posters ridicule or disapprove or hate what you hold dear, then you are too thin-skinned to be involved in open RF debate. You should IGNORE open RF threads altogether and instead post to RF threads labeled prayer devotional caucus or ecumenical.
But if a thread is making unsubstantiated charges, as this one is, then I can see why it might get pulled.
He has been suspended for years. He has a “stealth” way of getting around being suspended.
The original poster can have HIS entire post; comments and all; removed if he so wishes.
An individual replier to a post can have his reply removed.
I have known this for a long time.
In over 20 years; I have...
...posted a total of 51 threads and 174,875 replies.
(Data found under ACCOUNT tab)
I've no recollection of stuff being pulled (although I'm sure it has; since I've had a few; ahem; vacations from FR occasionly ;*)
There may be some residue left from the first yanked comment.
A locked thread can still be read; just not replied to.
But just WHO had it pulled?
I've seen Catholic threads that were NOT going the way the original poster had forseen and THEY then had it pulled.
How does one know whether the MODS had it pulled: just because; or the creator of the post?
I have no answer for this one.
Been doing this for DECADES!
