A Snake Named Mitt Emerges From the Grass

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Situational outrage, by Mitt Romney. – Mitt Romney still thinks he can become president. That fact was obvious throughout his 2018 senatorial campaign, and it is obvious in ever public statement he’s made since buying that Utah senate seat. He didn’t come to the senate to represent the interests of the people of Utah; he came there for pure self-aggrandizement purposes. He’s there solely to undermine President Donald Trump, and see if he can somehow work with Bill Kristol and the few dozen remaining #NeverTrump fake Republicans to weasel his way into the 2020 GOP presidential nomination.

Thus, Romney’s statement about the Mueller report issued yesterday comes as no surprise at all.

When Romney was running I referred to him as a crap sandwich. He had that sleazy used car salesman look. I seem to have been correct.

Trump’s biggest crime is exposing the establishment as grifters, thieves and liars.

Mitt and that lousy Paul Ryan

Incredibly, Ryan lost the 2012 vice presidential debate to Sir Gaffe-Alot--which is like Clemson losing to the University of Kansas on the football field.

Mitt Romney’s sensibilities and ethics are purely situational.

I don't think that's the case. I believe he's all sensibilities, no ethics.

Remember when Romney criticized that moron rep who said on 911 “some people did something”? Oh, that’s right, Romney didn’t make a f’ng peep about that. What a douche knuckle that bastard is.

".... I’d propose an even up trade for Joe Manchin...."

That trade wouldn't be even. If Manchin switched parties to the GOP, we'd get much more than we'd give away with Mittens.

Romney needs to switch to the democRAT party because it's a better fit for him. Lowlife, maggot.

Romney is an not-dead McCain. He's a better-looking Flake. He's a "pr*ck in his own right.

He has betrayed the GOP and Trump. Persona non grata in the GOP.

If he wants to run for president again, it will have to be as a democRAT. He doesn't have a GOP constituency to support him. Because he's burnt all of his bridges with his anti-Trump smears.

Romney will run for the GOP nomination in 2020.

Count on it.

His delusion is that deep.

I hate to tell his son, if your father didn’t want to be president, then he wouldn’t have run to be president.

Agree that Milt will never be president. Thank you American. Besides tagging on Trump what has he done in his first 100 days? Same as democratic house.

Romney will run for the GOP nomination in 2020.

1) Too late.

2) He knows he can't win.

3) He's happier where he is now.

4) If he does it will be under the name "Bill Weld."

5) Been there. Done that.

6) He barely ran the last time he was a candidate.

He KNOWS all that, and that he won’t win.

His goal is to diminish Trump, to weaken him prior to the General.

I noticed that too. Like he was going through the motions and wasn't really serious about winning.

I think Romney was just the GOP placeholder to allow Obama to win in 2012. He was never serious about winning. Same with McCain in 2008. He never was going to win. Worst GOP candidate since Dole. They both were just the token opposition party candidates to allow Obama to win.

And if Yeb or Kasich or some other GOP candidate would have beaten Trump in the primary, they too would have been a placeholder for Hillary to take the win.

The UniParty is the democRATS and a bunch of RINOs trying to act like they oppose each other. But they are really all the same party with the same ideals. It's been the same for decades.

Trump finally broke that tradition and therein lies the rub. He broke up their cabal and has irritated them enough for them to stand up and expose themselves as the anti-Americans they really are.

If he does run in 2020, maybe the Mitt/Flake ticket? There's a losing combination for you.

I’d propose an even up trade for Joe Manchin

Mitt Romney and a few other GOP relics still don’t realize what happened to their grand old Party in 2016.

In 2016, Donald Trump mopped the floor with the entire GOP, then he wrung it out, rinse, mop, repeat. There is nothing left of that GOP but a few relics like Mitt Romney - the GOP that tried to distance itself from and undermine Trump - the GOP that saw his candidacy as an embarrassment and a threat.

My local GOP chapter here in eastern PA is nothing like the one from 2016. It’s the same people but they have done a total about face. In 2016 they sent out a letter and called a meeting to discuss how to prevent Trump from winning the nomination - because they saw him winning as a doomsday scenario for the GOP and for the nation. After he won, I enjoyed a handful of “you were right and we were wrong” moments, but mostly stunned silence. Now, ALL of them see Trump not only as the leader of their party, it as the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party - except perhaps the Gipper. They seriously don’t seem to remember ever being anti Trump. They are totally converted. And I remember the same conversion in 1980 when they realized Reagan was a winner.

Republicans love a winner. Trump is a winner.

Republicans won’t follow a proven loser like Mitt Romney. The GOP that nominated Mitt Romney does not exist anymore. Their bodies are still the same but they have received a collective mind transfusion.

Sorry Mitt. You are history. Actually, not even. You are forgotten. You are not even a memory - Republicans don’t want to remember 2008 or 2012 - we don’t want to relive the shame of throwing Sarah Palin under the bus, or other good conservatives, and voting for YOU. It’s an embarrassment - nothing but a repressed memory.
