Ok. Green Cards for those who have graduated from a nursing program overseas and can pass our licensing tests. Let a doctor work as a nurse while awaiting approval to practice his/her trade. Then there’s the electricians, plumbers, and pipe fitters/welders. Any business short on labor can sponsor one with the help of the local church. Hit the ground running and make the rats squirm.

If they have some skill to offer this country shouldn’t we be open to it? Don’t forget our need for their(smart) kids.

I vote NOPE!
Bring in 3rd world medicals, you bring in 3rd world medical habits and education standards.
People don’t change just because the dirt under their feet did.
We. Have. Enough.
We. Do. Not. Need. Them.
They. Are. Not. Our. Problem.
Stay home. Fix their own.

I’m not suggesting illegal ya spaz. Let them apply from the old country. Let them prove they’re worthy before they arrive with all the rights you and I have.

That idea has the odor of Paul Ryan treachery about it. With overtones of Jeb Bush stupidity.
I can see Mitt Romney running on it as he challenges Trump.

All immigrants should basically treat their potential entry to the U.S. like a lifelong job application. Tell us what they can bring to the country that provides value and makes us better for having them. If we choose to let them in, they’ll be on a probationary status for (X number of) years, then we can consider whether they’ll be made permanent or terminated (sent home). Those with skills and a willingness to adapt to our societal norms - and speak English - will have a far better chance than those that show up with their hands out wanting freebies from Uncle Sugar.

If they have some skill to offer this country shouldnt we be open to it? What special skills do the 3rd worlders have that Americans don't have? There are a lot of unemployed Americans who need jobs...or welfare cheats that should be forced to find jobs.

And as for illegals, since we can’t illegally break into a company and expect to get on the payroll, they shouldn’t be allowed to break into the country and reap any benefits.
