An Assistant State’s Attorney in Foxx’s office sent the following essay to express a view from inside the office. We publish the piece in its entirety. The author asked to remain anonymous.
The State’s Attorney’s Office is an international laughingstock, as politicians, comedians, scholars, legal pundits and citizens blast its handling of the Jussie Smollett case. The criticism pointed squarely at Kim Foxx, the first African American female elected to fill the prestigious role of Cook County State’s Attorney.
In the wake of criticism, Ms. Foxx spoke at a Rainbow PUSH meeting and stated she cannot run an office “driven by anger and public sentiment” and “the goal posts change” when an African-American takes the position of prosecutor while Jamal Green refers to the Chicago Police as the “blue klux klan,” and Bobby Rush states that the Fraternal Order of Police are the sworn enemy of black people.
And blaming Jussie Smollett fallout on race? That is just ignorant and self-serving. It is a complete bastardization of a bona fide movement against acts of racism and hate crimes.
No prosecutors or police officers thought that the just result would be for Jussie Smollett to go to prison. He was charged with a Class 4 felony. The anticipated outcome was a misdemeanor with some community service or restitution. This would have been done on the record, on a regular court date, with the police being notified. This case was handled differently from any other case at 26th Street. No one knows why, and more importantly, no one can explain why our boss has decided to so demean and debase both our hard work, and relationship with the Chicago Police Department.
This is not an attack on Foxx’s race, it is an attack on her ethics and her efficacy as State’s Attorney.

Uh-oh. Sounds like a cursive word.

Can you imagine her letting Smollett off if he was white? I can’t. So, it is about race. Just not in the way the race card is normally played.
Bullshit article.
Each of the 16 charges carries with it a possible sentence of probation to four years in prison.
Don’t plead your case against Foxx by lying. Smollet could have and should have done hard time.
And then there is the sending of white powder through the mail.
Where are the Feds on this? Won’t hold my breath with Sessions 2 in charge.

She’s black: that gives her victim status and justification in the eyes of the Woke etc.
It also makes criticism of her ethics and efficacy racism.

I believe ethics and efficacy are something derived from minds which are race related.

If you click on the link, you will see that this piece appeared on a blog. You will also see that Jesse Jackson is immediately behind Kim Foxx in the photograph taken at the event (probably whispering into her ears and telling her what to say).
For some reason, this spectacle was not held at Operation PUSH headquarters, but moved to the Trinity United Church of Christ where Reverend Jeremiah Wright preached to Michelle and Barack Obama.
I did click the link but I’m not sure what that has to do with my response.
The article was bullshit. Smollet could have and should have done hard time. It was not 1 class 4 felony with a fine. It was 16 felonies with up to 4 years each.
And again. Where are the feds on the sending white powder through the mail?
I guess Jeff Beauregard Barr is too busy to have some flunky at the defunct FBI do something. Maybe we can get a postal inspector to charge him.
This prick should not be allowed to walk.

If this action is mail fraud, then the feds should be involved. For now, let Illinois deal with Chicago’s problems. It might set Trump for something good there in 2020.
It’s terrorism. You can’t send white powder with a threatening letter cut out from magazines. Even to yourself.
That was the best thing I’ve seen written on this entire topic.
If she wasn’t so defensive about her indefensible “deal”, I’d give her the benefit of the doubt about knowing the definition from being gifted a word-of-the-day calendar from an embarrassed subordinate.
The racism excuse has to end. If you are going to be equal with everyone else you have to take the same responsibility for your actions as everyone else. Which means you can be criticized, disciplined, fired or prosecuted like anyone else.
If you refuse, you are demanding to be treated like a child, not an adult.
