I tend to agree with that. It kinda reminds me of rabid (fourth wave) feminists vs MGTOW (Men going their own way) men. Both tend to have a lot of animosity toward the opposite sex, but one side seems to be in a constant state of anger while the other just thinks the other side is funny, and then gets back to their video games, pr0n, etc.

They should post the percentage of people who are upset said owners got a dog. - I am talking about the tons of dog owners who are very irresponsible doing stuff like letting them pee and crap on neighbor’s lawns, letting the dog bark constantly, dog is always getting loose, etc...

Oh, I definitely can believe that. I can’t count the number of moody, unhappy people I’ve met who said they had a cat or two. (Majority have been libs, too.) That doesn’t mean all cat owners are like that, but it’s really quite something how you can tell that certain people are ‘cat people’.

Cats poo in their box or outside and cover it up. Dogs dig through the cat box to eat cat poo and drag it across the house. No, the dog is in big time trouble these days.

Just got in from doing some yard work and watching my newly rescued Rottweiler cavort around the yard, roll with a big grin on his face, and demand to get loved on for a break. I can’t imagine a cat feeling or giving this much joy.

Or it maybe just that happier, more active people tend to adopt dogs, not that owning dogs will turn an unhappy person into a happy one.

I personally tend to be a positive person and like and had both cats and dogs, also both at the same time. When I had both a dog and a cat at the same time, they also got along well with each other, did NOT “fight like cats and dogs.”

I've had both dogs and cats. Sometimes both at the same time. Currently I have one cat. She's very affectionate, and curls up on my lap while I read the paper. An inside dog wouldn't work in this house, but a cat fits in nicely. I'm glad to have her company. She reciprocates the affection I show her.
