I really THOUGHT I loved Generals.
Generals are military, and military is patriotism:
I was that simple.
But the past 5 years or so have shown me that I HATE most Generals.
Generals are basically POLITICIANS, and most of them are LIBERAL.
Once you attain that first star, it’s ALL POLITICS.................
I have little truck for flag officers most of whom are political. But the leftist media is not interested in the well-being of the Marine Corps. They are interested in getting the insane orange one out of office.
It would seem that these types of useful idiots have nothing better to do to entertain themselves or at least, occupy their time.

Agreed. “Trump’s Generals” have to be the most disloyal group of climbing careerists in American history. He has massively increased their budget and what do they do? Spit in his face. Over and over. And of course look at how they prostrated themselves before the American hating kenyan.
Now the USAF brass wants $5 BILLION to repair bases and the USMC wants nearly $4 BILLION to repair ONE base damaged by a hurricane. Fight endless wars in the ME, etc. No thanks.
It goes back farther than that. Remember the “pampered prince”, Gen. Wesley Clark?
Look at the presidential leadership since 2008 that produced this crop of general officers, and what it took to get promoted
No heros of ISIS or Afghanistan who meekly followed obamas no-win ROE
but plenty of SJWs
Ditto
If you dont comprehend ‘allegiance’, dont JOIN!
Unprincipled, selfish jerks NEED NOT APPLY
A lot of Generals, Admirals etc in positions now are those left over from the Obama era. There’s only bee 2 selection cycles since Trump has been in office.
They’ve unfortunately been massively corrupt for decades, but Obama also weeded out the patriotic ones.
So weird that Trump, whose most famous catch phrase going into his campaign was “You’re fired” has failed most at the basic hiring, firing and management tasks.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s succeeded in lots of areas too, despite that, but so far his admin is a fraction of what it could have been.
Military pros will tell you anything from full Colonel (Captain in Navy; Group Captain in AF) and higher is purely political.......only master politicians reach General/Admiral........
Those highly ranked men with the costume jewelry on their shoulders **KNEW** that those birth documents were FAKE!
These preening weenies let their lower level military get killed and maimed by insane rules of engagement ordered by a usurper.
Don’t forget. Obama literally forced a lot of conservative military leaders to resign and replaced them with his sycophants and we are seeing the aftereffects of this.
Here’s proof:https://rense.com/general96/listof.html
Remember, they are not all the same.
Learned that many many years ago. Through my dad’s Navy career and my time in the Navy. Politics as usual. Possibly why he never made Admiral.
The non-liberal generals were all either purged or resigned under Clinton in the 90s.
It's widely known that full bird colonel (O-6) is the last promotion based almost entirely on merit. Politics come into play beyond that.
I think a distinction should be made among general/flag officers that remain in leadership roles, such as brigade and division level. There is still accountability there, as they can be canned if their units can't maintain combat readiness.
It's at the Pentagon where accountability is lost, and politics reigns supreme. Best thing DoD could do would be to reduce the general billets by 75%.
I spent 8 years on active duty, left as a Captain. Every general officer that was in my chain of command was a true leader, whom I respected and trusted implicitly. I knew they had my back as well, and I remembered instances where they proved it to me.
One of the best days of my military career was when the Deputy CG of 32nd AADCOM stood up for a lowly 2nd LT. It was during a Department of the Army Nuclear Surety Inspection of a Nike Hercules battery. My job (an extra duty) was to assemble a 40 man platoon to support them should there be a terrorist attack.
I had 4 hours to assemble, equip, and issue live ammo, and get them to the site. We made it in 3 1/2 hours, and the first words I hear from the team chief is "where the hell have you been?" I couldn't effing believe it, and I got into it with the LT Colonel. I'd done this a half dozen times before, and I knew my stuff. My soldiers hadn't had infantry small unit tactics since boot camp, so I always took the extra time to provide refresher training.
Anyhow, the team chief made a few remarks at the outbriefing regarding our delay in arriving. After they departed, the DCG goes up to the podium...the first words he spoke were, "Lieutenant, I'll take that hit for you. Anytime you want to give your soldiers extra training, you have my express permission."
The Pentagon is part of the Swamp, and seriously needs to be drained.
Obozo shit-canned most of the more conservative leaning Flags.
Old expression here REMF .....If u don’t know it.ask around
My dad retired from the Army as a LtCol when he was 47. I asked him why he didn't stay in and move up to the flag ranks. He told me that every rank above his was political in nature, and that it wasn't what he signed up for.
Generals have since at least WWI or WWII
Been political
To be honest politics start at full birds
You want to get past lieutenant colonel you have to start politicking
It was that way when my dad was in
