Take the time and watch this video of what's happening in Seattle as hard core liberalism has taken control and is reaching it's logical end....Drugs are being legalized because no cases are being prosecuted. Homelessness is being ignored, crime to support drug habits are being ignored and Seattle is dying at the video title indicates.....
I saw it a couple of weeks ago. it deserves a Pulitzer.
I frequently stay at a hotel near the downtown library — nice hotel but less than two blocks away is an encampment full of homeless, their tents sheltered by the highway overpass.
The documentary is great because it points out that this is not primarily a “homeless” problem, though that gets the most attention — it’s primarily a drug problem. And heavy drug use goes along with mental illness.
Toward the end the documentary points out how a northeastern city had dealt with their drug addiction problems among the homeless — and it appears to be working. But the Seattle mayor and city council are unlikely to adopt a similar strategy, even though it is better and cheaper in the long run.
Another point mentioned, that sticks in my mind is the fact that their “needle exchange” program gives out 400,000 needles/month, but only collects about 250,000. So roughly 150,000 needles are unaccounted for — and many end up littering the streets and sidewalks.

I live in north Idaho and our local TV stations are all from Spokane (or Spokompton as it is known locally). Every day there are TV ads from the WA state health department about the dangers of prescription opioid abuse. This from the same government who provides all of these free needles, “safe injection spaces”, and has decriminalized possession of up to 3 grams of heroin “for personal use”. Being a liberal means never having to admit that you are a hypocrite.
“Spokompton” that’s funny. I’ll have to use that. I go there occasionally, it’s very beautiful country. Some of the prettiest blue skies anywhere.
I spent 3 days in the wilderness there, with no food, once (survival school). I saw a lot of bear scat, and a pack of coyotes sniffed my sleeping bag as they went by one night, camped under a parachute fabric lean-to. HA
They’ve mainstreamed the drug culture, and the results are, predictably, awful.
You must have been at the USAF survival school up north of Newport, right?
