A popular 70's family show about life that took place during the depression era. I never watched it but housewives liked it. Would it it help us be better men?
I was a housewife during the 70s——and didn’t like it.
.
Are you freaking cucking kidding me?
My god you little beta orbiter. Your whole world revolves around pussy.
If you want to be a man, a better man, do it for you. You dont do it for anyone else. You always do it for you. Others will be drawn to you and respect you, if you are focused and doing it FOR YOU, not some pussy chasing simp rying to be a corny better man for the woman.
This type of crap is why they wind up giving you grief and eventually dumping your weak ass. Wake the hell up.
MTM good wholesome show.
The Saint is good too.
Anything Hitchcock if you want mystery.
I bought the entire set of Little House on the Prairie, and we watch it again and again. GOOD STUFF..
Who’s got time for TV?????? Cannot imagine!
Well, I do usually catch Fox News......
My parents were kids during the depression-and my mom thought the show was boring and silly. My hubby and I thought it was Nutrasweet on ‘roids-we did not like it...
The Smother Brothers Comedy Hour"Hi!"
Boy there’s an extreme!! :)
BTW, The Waltons was based on an Italian family.
But they only use our last names when it’s a mob movie :)
I have always liked it, especially the early seasons. I knew a lot of people from that time in history who lived under similar circumstances, so I found it interesting on those grounds.
Looks like I’m gonna have to ask around to find the truth. Too many here are on their 3rd beer. Secret Agent Man had his own song but i don’t remember the show. Musta been unmemorable.
Have been inspired to name SXSuX 2020’ break out folksinger band...
‘Night Johnboy
Seemed to be a reasonably decent series. We just didnt get into it much.
These shows are fine shows.
His reason for asking about them is just unbelievable.
We prefer Little House on the Prairie over Waltons any day! Good message in each episode.
I was a housewife during the 70sand didnt like it.
Perhaps but I’ve only had 1 beer 2 hours ago.
Will Geer was a commie too.
I remember an episode of “The Untouchables” where Eliot Ness, (Stack) was shooting at an arcade. I recall thinking that it looked like Stack really was shooing. It was a Winchester model 1890 pump .22.
I later learned that Robert Stack had been a world champion shotgunner. I bet he really was shooting.

I was one of them, hard times.

When I first saw “The Grapes of Wrath”, I thought to myself, “what a bunch of whiners those Walton’s are”.
