Suggestions for a Conservative Script To Deliver To Girls Scouts Who Are Selling Cookies

Posted on 03/10/2019 10:58:01 AM PDT by Be Careful

Every time I pass the little girls in the grocery store, dressed in their uniforms selling Girl Scout Cookies, helicopter moms hovering behind them...........I have the urge to tell them that because of the corrupt relationship that exists between GS and PP, I won't be buying their cookies. And, to tell them that PP sells live baby body parts for lots of money....and further to tell them to look it up for themselves....and to close with 'don't believe anything your parents and teachers tell you' 'think and find out for your selves'......It then occurred to me that if we had a nation-wide campaign to create a script to share with these wee cookie sellers, we could actually, maybe have some impact with these young minds that get saturated with the progressive world view on a daily basis.

Yeah, let’s just give credence to the idea that conservatives are jerks.

I go out of my way to do business with kids operating a lemonade stand in the summertime, but I’ve always hated buying Girl Scout cookies. Maybe it has something to do with the formality of it, and the fact that every Girl Scout mother I knew was a leftist.

I sometimes say, “No, thanks...I don’t support the HQs policies.”...with a pained, but kind expression.

I figure they’ll likely ignore my comment, at most...or, ask their moms what that means, at least.

Most times, I simply say, “No, thanks.”

So you want to create a nationwide campaign to confuse and make little girls cry because they sell cookies ?

Did it feel cool to confuse & be sarcastic to little girls? Just curious because your description of your monologue was uber creepy.

I just smile at them and say “No thanks.” Most of the girls are way too young to understand anything about the issues, so there’s no point ruining their day. The problem is with the GS leadership, not the girls.

Feeling a compulsion to lecture little girls is creepy.

How about practicing self control and not lecturing anyone?

I agree with the other posters who are advising you to avoid making political/moral statements to the young kids.

That's something you should be telling to the adults who run an organization like the Girl Scouts, not the kids selling cookies at your door or in the shopping mall.

If you want a way to gracefully decline making a purchase to a young kid, tell her that you have already bought dozens of boxes from your own daughter/niece/granddaughter and be on your way.

Yes. Just don’t buy the cookies.

I just tell them that I am opposed to Planned Parenthood and cannot support their effort and wish them the best of luck. For the same reason,I stopped supporting Race for the Cure (against breast cancer - which is also much more common among maternal abortion victims). I don’t tell the GS that though.

biggest dick move I’ve heard in months. some little girl’s daddy is going to come visit you, and good luck when he gets there.

“Children really don’t sell them anymore. The parents do it all”

That is ridiculous. The girls are staffing their booths everywhere and going door-to-door.

Sure you see the sign-up sheets at work, but I see the girls working hard at selling them. Selling to strangers gives the young girls new confidence and new abilities.

I make a donation to the troop and tell the moms why I cannot buy the cookies for the associations you cited. Donations to the troop do not go to the national organization. Since the troop only gets $.50 per box sold, a small donation ($5-$20) is like selling a lot of cookie boxes. I have heard from the mothers that the donation method is happening more and more often. There is no point or need to intimidate the young girls.

You can always baffle the sh!t out of them by telling the Girl Scouts that you already bought cookies from girls who joined the Boy Scouts. LOL.

All this stuff was ubiquitous in my 1960s youth

Brownies and Girl Scouts

Cub scouts and Boy Scouts

I was an RA ....a Baptist thing...maybe other denominations too...we camped and stuff

There were other groups too....Campfire girls

Boys Club and YMCA had stuff too

Boy those ships have sailed...all corrupted and spoiled ....putrid

Don’t even know if they have RAs anymore
