That’s interesting...and also true that the recycle bin for plastic grocery bags is not by the entrance to the store..I shop at Publix and it’s nearer to the shop next door than their own store. I think I would opt to pay the $.05 tax on bags also. Good idea...thanks for that link.

For the record, I myself happen to believe that government mandated recycling of post-consumer garbage actually wastes more resources than it saves. My evidence for this belief is this New York Times article, which is called “Recycling Is Garbage.” It’s a great article, and I recommend that everyone read it.

Thanks! That was really something "fit to print" in the NYT (no less). Quite dated, but substantiated and It concludes,

However, I see the liberal worship of recycling as being like that of Climate Change, which is driven by a lust for power and self-justification (wearing fur being a mortal sin while homosexual relations are promoted), to rule over others as proxy servants of the devil who seeks to do via an perversion of what God has ordained.

Well; I agree that if the will to re-engineer the entire recycling industry doesn’t exist, there’s little point to collecting it and then dumping it into the landfill anyway.
