Do the right thing and cut her off from everything of yours, except an occasional “I love you!”

This will be made perfectly clear to the lefty loonies when the shooting war begins, and they struggle within for leadership (and power). You will then see mass migrations away from their side, but to where, who knows. Fragmentation and disarray will destroy them.

The country is divided 50-50 and that's frustrating to many people.

It causes much heated discussion, but so long as the country is divided down the middle, it's hard for any party to push much of its agenda through.

Presidents usually have the ability to push through one thing before they lose control of Congress and the electorate tires of them - Obama with health care, Bush with his war, Clinton with getting elected, maybe Trump with immigration.

If anything happens to break the stalemate, we may be in trouble, but both parties are unstable coalitions which tend to break down if they push for too much.

If Americans work the politics skillfully we can avoid civil war, but if people give up on the process entirely, that's when we run into trouble.

Good points. We’ll see a huge new “Walk away” movement. I hope they understand why.

“The blue and red states need to separate. “

That’s not generally the situation. It’s rural vs. urban.

Hi.

I’m praying that I don’t see CWII.

Killing is such an ugly business. No quarter, Columbian neck ties, touture, it all sucks.

Not a good idea to start shooting etc.

Warning! If we have a second civil war (which wasn’t civil), it will make the war between the States look like a walk in the park on a warm spring day.

It causes much heated discussion, but so long as the country is divided down the middle, it's hard for any party to push much of its agenda through.

The problem we face at present is not just that the country is divided 50-50 or thereabouts but what we are divided over.

Historically, the country has been divided by issues that are addressed by the Constitution as it now stands. Arguing about issues "within the framework of the Constitution" can be resolved by the government and the electoral process.

This time, however, a part of one side (not comprising the entire 50% though) wants changes to the Country that ultimately require the Constitution itself to be overthrown and replaced by a socialist Constitution.

As Dennis Prager said in the article which is the subject of this thread, these types of arguments/divides cannot be resolved peacefully within the Constitution.

One side of the divided country contains a group which seeks a regime change.

You raise an interesting point.

Clearly the left in the U.S. is unable to fight. So it makes one wonder who (obviously from the outside) might be planning to take on that role? I don't Russia is any position to fill that position. Would that leave China?

I don’t trust the Chicomms at all. I don’t think they’re gearing up to fight India.

Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell suggested on Friday that the U.S. government could use nuclear weapons on its own citizens if they fight back against firearm confiscation.

Is that remark by Swalwell a call to peace and flowers or war?

Leningrad comes to mind, although in the end the Germans lost. Difference is, in Leningrad you had a commissar on every block to keep the people motivated to stay the course or get a bullet to the mullet.
Our American city folk would fold after the first week. To lazy and to dependent of the Gubmint!

Our American city folk would fold after the first week.

American city folks would wet their trousers at the mere thought of defending the country (there will be some exceptions to that but almost invisibly small).

America's backbone is in her small cities and towns and in the country.

These folks are armed to the teeth and well-practiced with weapons.

Given that the communist politicians in America are coming out of their hidey-holes, one has to wonder who is behind them? Who do they look to as their armed support?

It surely isn't the U.S. military or the Veterans.

It isn't some militia.

Who is it?

Surely AOC doesn't think she is going to take over the Country without some kind of military support. One has to wonder where she thinks her support would come from?

Another respected political analyst who thinks war is coming:

Former Federal Prosecutor [Joe diGenova]: "We Are In A Civil War... I Buy Guns"

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-25/former-federal-prosecutor-we-are-civil-war-buy-guns

Btw, when I see all the talk about how easy it's going to be to defeat the other side, if a war breaks out, it sounds exactly like the talk just prior to bullets flying in the last CW.
