It also renders everything that had to do with Leonard Nimoy’s portrayal of Spock in the Abramsverse movies, including the stated death of the character in Star Trek: Beyond, non-canon. Which means the original Spock is not truly dead, at least not by the legal standards set forth in the Midnight’s Edge video.
Sadly, it also renders Nimoy’s performances a waste since they cannot truly apply to the Spock he was playing for decades. The thought that Patrick Stewart’s possible final performance of Picard will be a similar waste is revolting, although if the new Picard series is truly awful, it at least won’t sully the legacy of the original TNG shows and movies.
I heard that Picard series is rolling with Abrams destruction of Romulus (in the “real” universe). Could make an interesting story about that, maybe. I still don’t like it though.
I never heard of this network dispute. So we’re in a “Never Say Never Again” type situation?
What’s Nemesis and Enterprise’s (until the final season) excuse for sucking? ;d
I haven’t tried to find season 2 of Discovery on the pirates sites yet. I’m seeing adverts that have Spock with a beard. WTF?
