Let's talk about the latest round of wokeness in the season 2 premiere of Star Trek: Discovery.
Ah, no.
Which makes it look like CBS does not trust the people running STD at all.
It cant be a good sign for a TV series when its acronym is a sexually transmitted disease.
CBS= Cannot Broadcast Shit
If a woman does it, would that be “nagsplaining”?
I tried watching this but it is so infested with political correctness that its simply unwatchable.
Then the cast joined in taking the knee, and that was it for me, although I wouldn't have paid CBS to watch this anyway.
I saw the trailer for this and, frankly, it looked like a Lifetime movie. I wondered who the hell would bother with it.
lol.
Wannabee-Stars Drek.
I watched this video from Midnight’s Edge a couple of days ago and it really shines a light on why the Abramsverse Trek and STD look and act the way they do:

I’m gonna wait until Season 2 is over and then my husband will get a free week on trial. And then I will binge watch it.
I liked it.
I watched an earlier video from those guys detailing the flustercuck that is the present state of the franchise (and the CBS-Viacom mess). I argued since the Abrams abomination began that it was never canon, and as confirmed here, it wasn’t (nor is the STD horror), since they were legally compelled to make it largely non-canon. I expect with the Picard project upcoming, and its similarly legal boundaries, it will be a fiasco.
For true fans, it might be better to simply wait for the merger to be completed and that CBS/Viacom will be able to put out Star Trek that actually remotely resembles what we came to love instead of the monster it became.
It also renders everything that had to do with Leonard Nimoy’s portrayal of Spock in the Abramsverse movies, including the stated death of the character in Star Trek: Beyond, non-canon. Which means the original Spock is not truly dead, at least not by the legal standards set forth in the Midnight’s Edge video.
Sadly, it also renders Nimoy’s performances a waste since they cannot truly apply to the Spock he was playing for decades. The thought that Patrick Stewart’s possible final performance of Picard will be a similar waste is revolting, although if the new Picard series is truly awful, it at least won’t sully the legacy of the original TNG shows and movies.
I heard that Picard series is rolling with Abrams destruction of Romulus (in the “real” universe). Could make an interesting story about that, maybe. I still don’t like it though.
I never heard of this network dispute. So we’re in a “Never Say Never Again” type situation?
What’s Nemesis and Enterprise’s (until the final season) excuse for sucking? ;d
I haven’t tried to find season 2 of Discovery on the pirates sites yet. I’m seeing adverts that have Spock with a beard. WTF?
