I wouldn’t dare watch either, as I was in spirit with the Boycott Bowl parties in Nawlins.

Quite the bash.

American football is still better than soccer. Faint praise, but it’s all I got.

This guy simply doesn't get soccer. That's about the most charitable thing I can say. There is a reason soccer is BY FAR the most popular sport on the planet across every continent and every race, in rich and poor countries, while hardly anyone plays American football to any meaningful extent outside North America.

There’s more virtue signaling on this thread than there was in all of the game yesterday.

This was NOT a “defensive battle!” This was two offenses spitting and sputtering like-waterlogged engines. They looked lethargic throughout the entire first half because they were both trying to hit the “deep strike” instead of playing their normal games - and it showed!

Brady had MINUTES to pass back there and he still under threw, over threw and looked like crap - some “goat!”

Goff was the only one pressured, but most of that was in his head - because he kept trying to wait for the long ball to open up...when he had several WIDE OPEN RECEIVERS underneath!

We actually turned off the game after the half-time show (which equally sucked) - we didn’t even see LA kick their lone score! We watched “Shane” instead!

Why did he watch??? Hey, EVEN BEFORE the kneel down on the National Anthem fiascos of these whining players, I QUIT watching. I saw the very first play of the very first Super Bowl way back in the 1960s with my Dad. We always watched games together. But, four years ago, I said the hell with the NFL, the NBA, and even MLB. I barely watch MLB any more. I watch some EURO Winnie soccer. That is about it. I don’t watch college sports anymore either. I finally, in my late 60s, grew up and decided I did not need to yell at the TV screen anymore, that I had no outcome on the games, the Ref’s couldn’t hear me, the coaches couldn’t hear me, so why do it??? I finally decided there was more to life. I discovered my wife was still hear on weekends, so we do things on weekends and Monday nights. No more does all these 80 hours per week of sports rule my life. I finally gave it all up. I got a life. I decided it was time to enjoy life. The NFL was the VERY first sport I sent packing. The kneeling crap was already taken care of, I wasn’t watching anyway.

Boring Game, unless you enjoy watching punts. But for m, punting equates with failure.

I learned that fur-coat-wearing pimps driving up in Cadillacs is just a stereotype.

Adam Levine was sorely missing his auto-tune. My kids, who know his songs, were cringing at the high notes, and he was flat throughout.

SpongeBob SquarePants?

I didn't watch the game - I still care about the 49ers, but I increasingly don't watch anymore. But it sounds like it was a great duel between two old defensive masterminds - Wade Phillips holding Tom Brady and Josh McDaniel to 13 points, and Bill Belichik shutting down the NFL's new offensive genius, Sean McVay.

This sounds like it was a solid defensive football game, though it may not have been entertaining for the types who never see an NFL game besides the Super Bowl.

The teams might have been less lackluster if both teams that won the right to be there had been playing. Do the Pats play the Saints early in the season? I hope it’s the first game. That will be the real Super Bowl. And, oh yeah, that half time show. They should’ve let Gladys Knight do that. She was wonderful and classy with the National Anthem.

I prefer the World Series, played by a sport that truly is diverse.

It was a close game and a defensive struggle. I liked the game. Way better than a blow out. Blow outs are really boring.

For everyone bashing Maroon 5 and Adam Levine..a few points I’d like to make. Yes, it was a mediocre show. Yes, he was shirtless by the end of the set. And yes, he’s a leftie. However, I think credit needs to be given to Levine. For months now, he’s been hen-pecked by the left for doing the show to begin with. He was to have stood in solidarity with all the other leftists who boycotted and wouldn’t perform. As I watched the show, I was waiting for Maroon 5 to go political. And they didn’t. Not once. Levine fought the backlash for doing the show, and today he’s taking backlash from the left for not using it to push their political agenda. So yes..I will give credit where credit it due.
