[Vanity] Pale Moon Question
Me | Today | TBP

Posted on 02/03/2019 6:39:58 PM PST by TBP

I have a question for browser-savvy FReepers.

I downloaded Pale Moon, which seems to be a good browser. A lot of FReepers use it, and that is how I first heard of it.

It changed the font size on my email to about 350 percent, and I cannot find a way to reduce it back to 100 percent (i.e., normal size.)

Can anyone tell me how to do it? Thank you.

Might be the Reader's Digest large print addition.

When you installed the browser, did it prompt for your age range?

What is the result when you apply Ctrl+ (to zoom in, make the letters larger) or Ctrl- (to zoom out, make an image smaller)?

You really expected to get help? Every clown on this forum uses honest questions such as yours to highlight their silliness, idiocy. Everyone needs to be a primadonna, I thought FR was beyond it— it is not. Now watch the replies to this and see for yourself.

Brave Browser works perfectly: fast, private and blocks all Ads.
Use Startpage.com to securely do internet searches.

It has become pretty much standard with all browsers:

Hold down the Ctrl key and press the minus key to make text smaller. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the plus key to make text larger.

You could try this addon, I think it’s compatible with Pale Moon.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer

Otherwise, I’d suggest trying out Comodo IceDragon -

So far the only reply that wasn’t an honest attempt to help is yours.

I’m sure I’m missing something..not sure how a new browser can change an email client font size
I assume Windows ?
do any other apps have enlarged font sizes ?

you might try the forums...

https://forum.palemoon.org/search.php?keywords=font+size

What is the email client ?

Hold the CTRL key down and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to change font size.

Thanks, but unfortunately, it’s my laptop that is giving me the problem.

Outlook.

It isn’t happening in any other browser, or on any other page, but somehow it made that page YUUUGE, and I cannot find a way to reduce it. That’s fairly easy to do in Edge, /brave, or even Chrome if you haven’t de-Googled yourself.

Exactly.

And your low opinion of FReepers has turned out to be incorrect.

Thanks, but unfortunately, it’s my laptop that is giving me the problem.

Then CTRL with the + and - keys should work.

You say the problem occurs in Outlook. I don't understand what that has to do with Pale Moon.

A few have mentioned ctrl+ and ctrl- for bigger and smaller. Use ctrl0 (zero) to reset to “standard”.
