Why go publically broadcasting the fact that you have an AR? Is this some form of new Civil Disobedience?
Better to keep your mouth shut. Especially if it does harm to your children as in this case.
As an act of civil disobedience I think it would be awesome for someone who does not own an AR-15 to publicly state that they won’t comply with this bullsh*t law and then have a good time watching the liberals go apeshit over the refusal to comply with their edict.

To establish standing to bring a lawsuit
My question is does Colorado have “State Preemption” on gun laws? In most states, local governments are “preempted” from passing any local gun “ordinance” that conflicts with State Law.

Why not? The state already knows he owns it.....Remember that multi copy form you filled out at the firearm dealer's store, the one that asks if you have ever been convicted of a felony? The one that was the precursor to the IBC?
Not to worry tho, I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of 2nd Amendment patriots willing to ride to his aid when law enforcement shows up at his house to demand his AR-15 and the rest of his firearms or they'll take him to jail....../s
After all the entire point of the 2nd amendment is to afford the average citizen the ability to stage meaningful and effective rebellion or defend from foreign invasion if it becomes necessary .
better to have " a gun behind every blade of grass" .....not under the scrutiny of the Deep State and local cops.
