She just left, she got very heated and angry with me. We were debating the state of the economy and the effects on minorities and she started spewing vile curse words and invective on Christmas Day.
Wow. Threw the Christmas cake on the ground. She's 35-years old, works in finance in Morristown, NJ and New York City.
I'm perplexed this holiday season. Now, I just want to stay home and just watch TV or something. Should I bring them over again?
Anyway, Merry Christmas.
It’s tough having a Sibling who is the polar opposite in thought and deed.
I had issues with a former B-I-L who was always itching for a fight, but I purposely steered away when he tried to bait me. The first time I met the guy made me realize it was the only way to keep some sense of harmony in my Wife’s Family.
My S-I-L finally figured out what a turd the guy was and she Divorced him to keep her sanity.
I can only imagine having the same issues with a Blood Relative. That’s a tough one for sure.
Isnt it strange that it is ok for lefties to bring politics into any situation but then they go berserk when somebody has an opposing opinion. Maybe she should stay out of the kitchen if she cant handle the heat or maybe just shut up and act with grace when with family. Invite her back but let her know it is a second chance. She wont come back because she obviously has no rational argument!
I tell them that I’m a meteorologist and don’t believe in it.
A few try to argue with me, but most change the subject.
Well, yes, she is an severe alcoholic. She was drunk at last year’s Thanksgiving, and she passed out.
At the Labor Day BBQ two years ago, she cut her hands after arguing with my other cousin about Black Lives Matter.
She collapsed on Inauguration Day at work, and had to be hospitalized due to dehydration.
She is a drama queen.
My dad tolerated no disputes between fsmily at gatherings of any kind and touchy topics were avoided
Ive continued that and our family despite some huge differences has stayed close and it been totally qorth it

Liberalism is truly a mental disease. They know their ‘facts’ don’t have any depth and can’t be defended unless they arbitrarily make up supporting facts or just get angry and throw a temper tantrum. And 35 she will not recover and will never be able to see reality. Everything is based on emotions. No logic, reality or facts.
I was the receipent of something similar. The woman just sputtered out, “ ....you people...!!!

Yes, but tell her that her behavior is not how adults respect one another, and that you understand that you both disagree but throwing a tantrum in front of the rest of the family is not the way to deal with it.

Me, my friends and my cousins all sat down this afternoon at 11:30a and had a nice, brief lunch served with cake.
My handsome, muscular cousin (male) tried to restrain her physically, but it didn’t work.
She started off mouthing off about how NJ and NY is better than Missouri and Kansas, (she hates Missouri because she has a job offer from the St. Louis area) how Missouri is a s******* “red” state because they didn’t elect Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, Obama and Hillary, how they did not reelect Claire McCaskill and didn’t elect the Carnahans to higher office like they did in the 1990s and how Phil Murphy would be the next president of the U.S.
I told her that the Trump economy is doing better than the Nj economy and that is how the lunch got physical and verbal.
I think you answered your own question on another invite.
That much trouble, no more socializing with family within your gatherings.
Make sure to tell her so. Cut the cord, she aint worth it.
No offense but your sister sounds like she needs a psychiatrist.
