Just wait until they learn that he smoked cigarettes!
Thats right, kiddos, actual cancer sticks, not some lame vaping crap.
Theyre going to absolutely freak out.
The Leftist Outrage Police have declared the classic song, Baby, Its Cold Outside that is played ad nausem during the Christmas season problematic because they dont understand the lyrics.

The politically correct crowd in the #MeToo era have taken the 1944 song written by songwriter Frank Loesser and his lounge singer wife, Lynn, for a housewarming party that they had in New York. It was an absolute hit with the guests and was later included in the 1949 movie, Neptunes Daughter performed by Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban as well as hilariously reversing the roles with Red Skelton and Betty Garrett
The song, with its playful lyrics, chronicle what used to be a courtship dance between a young couple before the realm of dating apps. A young woman, concerned about protecting her reputation, didnt want to give in to the persuasive argument of a determined suitor insistent on her staying a little longer.
But, because the lyrics include, Say, whats in this drink? the leftists have decided that those lyrics mean that the guy has pulled a Bill Cosby and roofied her drink so that he can rape her.
Several radio stations have banned the song.
Last year, a couple of millennial songwriters decided to fix the song because they dont understand a world before the free-sex-for-all revolution (relationship or last name not required) which was pushed by feminists. Oh, sorry, I meant embracing of their sexuality because women can be as promiscuous as men with zero consequences. (Except, thats not what happens.) Nor do they comprehend the concept of a woman being pursued by a man that she is attracted to, and not wanting to appear too easy. Nowadays, you just swipe right or left on an app if youre interested or not. Its pretty much killed romance.
I kinda feel bad for them for about five seconds, but then, they rewrite a classic song to emphasize consent and I think they deserve the world that they now exist in.
Thats vile.
Back in the day, if a guy I was interested in was behaving in the Oh, are you still here? way as the guy did in that song, Id take the hint. In this version, rather than the dance of seduction, theyre both just stupid. If you missed blonde beauty, Nicole Arbour, dismantling the outrage over the song in just 60 seconds, you can find it right here.
But, now that there is outrage over the song, the version recorded by Dean Martin in 1959 has had a surge in popularity.
Way to go, PC Police! Your protest did the exact opposite of what you hoped it would do.
The 1944 classic hit Baby Its Cold Outside was almost a thing of Christmas past after controversy saw it banned by several stations over its predatory undertones, but now sales of one of the songs versions have soared 70 per cent
Despite the controversy, or likely because of it, the renewed attention to it, the Dean Martin version of the song hits the top 10 of Billboards Digital Song Sales chart for the first time, according to Billboard.
Deans version, recorded in 1959, is the charts Greatest Gainer, soaring from No. 31 to No. 10 on the December 22 dated list.
It is now up to 11,000 downloads old over the week that ended on December 13.
And just the week earlier it hit the charts with a 257 per cent boost with over 7,000 sold. Source: Daily Mail
“decadent, dysfunctional American family”

Actually, going by the left’s re-definition of family, they seem pretty normal.
Odd thing, tho - to watch the video on youtube you have to sign in - it’s apparently been tagged as “NSFW”, I can only suppose for some nutso PC reason.
But if you ever need to get past the “sign in to view this video” nag-screen at YT, just type nsfw in front of youtube.com in the video page address, like this -

IF one listed every thing that the libs were “outraged” over or wanted to “ban”, it would fill volumes. The SOBs are insane and should bet treated as such.
Not my favorite song, vis a vis Christmas, but its OK. Its not a Christmas song.
But yeah, it had enough airplay before this hooha, but I swear Im hearing it MORE in all different versions on all the venues...local radio, satellite, everywhere.
“Funny how Dean Martins music is so relevant in these times. “
Volare could do me in if I think about it.
Saw Dean live in Vegas in 1987. Im sure this was his standard intro....And now direct from the bar.....Dean Martin!!!
If we can get that song banned, I don’t care about the reason. Ugh.
“I kinda feel bad for them for about five seconds, “
For zero seconds.
I think “Emotional Support Chicken” is hilarious.
It’s really too bad she has to dress herself in ham, eggs, bacon, whatever and go by a silly name to make it in the music biz. She probably could get by just by singing if she concentrated enough, she has a passable voice.
“Sales SKYROCKET!”

I think there’s a little of the “Streisand Effect” at play here, too. Declare something the “forbidden fruit” and people are gonna want it.
IIRC, Dean Martin smoked cigarettes, drank, AND seduced women, pretty much all at the same time!
These are the same people (well probably not because they would be too old) that would have skewered the religious people of the 50s and 60s that would have been opposed to this song.
When people read sexual deviance in to everything they see or hear, do you ever wonder whats going in their minds? Like people who see monkeys and instantly think about black people? What is wrong with them? Is it as simple as projection or something more disturbing?
:)
I wonder if they would faint if they saw the old ads with doctors promoting cigaette brands.
Your point is well taken. Imagine the outrage fifty years ago if a major corporation portrayed an American family in that manner during the holidays or for that matter at any time. Today there isn’t even a murmur because the goal of the Left to destroy the nuclear family is being realized. Many people view that commercial and recognize themselves. American has changed and no longer has a common consensus of social values.
Countless versions play every hour on stations I listen to. I like the song.
The article makes this into more of a right-left thing than it may in fact be. Some of those complaining may be more or less ordinary radio listeners shaken up by Cosby, rather than feminists or SJWs, and the reaction of stations is more about the fear losing listeners than any concern for political correctness.
When the movie “Chappaquiddic” came out I was astounded to see that it had a “warning label.”
Because it depicted people smoking cigarettes.
Considering the subject matter of the movie, the warning label is over smoking? No, I had no idea that smoking warnings were a “thing.” (Not a movie person).
Sometimes I feel as if I’m living in a farce.
