the Knights of Columbus has taken a number of extreme positions. For example, it was reportedly one of the top contributors to Californias Proposition 8 campaign to ban same-sex marriage.
Proposition 8wasn’t that the proposition that was passed by a majority of Californians, struck down by a gay Federal judge, who told the backers of Prop. 8 that they had no standing to appeal? That Prop. 8?

Didn’t we already go through this, first with Joe Mccarthy in the ‘50’s and secondly, with John Kennedy in 1962?
Are’nt these interrogators the same ones saying Christianity is greatly diminished in American influence? So what are they afraid of? This line of policy would make Mao RED with envy.

Ginsburg is about to leave the planet, and Trump will appoint a Catholic woman from South Bend to replace her.
They are setting the ground to disqualify her, because she is a Catholic.

The Knights of Columbus is not more Catholic then the Pope. (Well, maybe not the present Pope). Perhaps the best answer to a persistent questioner is to enter the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church into the record and stand by it. The Constitution (Article VI cl. 3) is the no religious test clause for federal office holders.

Just you what until this one shows up, and starts asking Catholics questions. (That's Ilhan Omar, new Muslim Congresswoman from Minnesota.)
Perhaps the word "infidel" will finally enter the Congressional Record.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Well now. It seems that religious affiliations are now grounds for denying candidates to public office, and the Constitution be dammed.
Fine then. Having cut down all the protections, the Democrats cannot find shelter from the winds that will blow over the land.
I am Ok with Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu, Zoroaster, Bahai, and Asatru candidates.
I am considerably less enthusiastic about "Wiccans", the reconstructed "Druids", and members from the "Church of Bob". But I might support them.
No Muslim should be permitted in any elected or appointed Government position. Nor should anyone else who advocates for Muslims.
We are all gonna hate the new rules. But we will play by them.

The first nominee who responds to these questions with a clear defense of the Freedom of Religion laid down in the Constitution will win. That defense must include a personal counterattack on these inquisitors accusing them of blatant violations of the Constitution. The government is prohibited from harassing and intimidating the practice of religion. They will fold like cheap suitcases. The secondary benefit will be the continued exodus of Catholics from the Democrat Party.

The DemonRATs attacked JFK and RFK for their Catholicism but had to give them a pass because they had so much money and influence that their Daddy had gathered for them.

A majority of Catholics (I am one - practicing again despite our anti-Pope) vote Democrat (of course I dont). Wonder if this will be enough to open some eyes? Sadly doubt it.
