President Donald Trump made an unannounced visit to Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday to honor Americas fallen as thousands across the country laid wreaths on veterans graves.
Trump paid his respects as volunteers for Wreaths Across America waited in long lines to place a Christmas wreath on the tombs of Americas greatest heroes. The event, which is held every December, aims to remember, honor, and teach about those who served, and perished, fighting for Americas freedom. In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, Wreaths Across America Day is observed at more than 1,400 cemeteries in all 50 states, as well as at sea and abroad....

This will be wrong too
I’m sure he’ll be attacked as having said bad things about McCain and Khan-job.
In the cold rain, God bless him. Dont recall any other president doing that.
Yea it’s wrong. He should have come to the cemetery we were at. See. he only cares about dead soldiers in Washington DC.
Oh wait, I’m a conservative patriot. What an awesome thing for him to do.
Reason 14,958 for me to be proud of my vote.
I gotta say...I LOVE THIS GUY!!
Reagan was patriotic, I think President Trump has him beat though.
Thank You, President Trump! MAGA!
We have a brand new National Cemetery in Omaha.
They had a “wreaths across america” event today.
HUGE crowd!!!
Yes, thank you, dear President Trump for honoring our fallen heroes.
Just another act of Presidential honoring that will be missed by most in this country due to the lameness of the MSM.
But thanks to Free Republic, it is not missed by those here.
There was a 99-year-old WWII/Korean War veteran who took part in the ceremony--you would have thought he was 20 years younger.
“Thank You, President Trump! MAGA!”
Amen to that! He held his own umbrella too. :^)
You can bet the commie hating Trump media wont be reporting on this, or if they do they will find some way to trash him. God Bless our military heroes and God Bless our amazing President!
And Dorkbama made an unscheduled visit to the grave of the pieces of the unknown vest bomber.
Does the man ever sleep?
There were about 100 people at ours in Maryland. I think they had about 500 wreaths.
Our youth organization sells wreaths and gets to keep a small part of the sale. We really enjoy being able to serve and participate.
The local Civil Air Patrol unit has a flag ceremony and a couple short readings. They ask veterans of each branch to step forward as someone places a wreath honoring their branch then we go place wreaths. They honor Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine.
The crowd was low this year. Heavy rain kept a few home, probably the elderly and very young.
Rush says he gets by on 4 or 5,hrs a night....mbeen that since the 80’s
Our ceremony had wreaths in honor of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and also Prisoners of War and Missing in Action—seven wreaths. I think the 99-year-old man brought up the wreath for the Navy. We had 1500 wreaths. Fortunately it wasn’t raining (but the ground was pretty soggy in many places because it rained heavily yesterday).
I forgot, they also had the MIA wreath.
He so resists doing what’s expected of him and then goes out of his way to do the totally unexpected.
I *LOVE* that man.
