In August 2016, A.M.I., which owns The National Enquirer, acquired the rights to Ms. McDougals story about Mr. Trump which it never ran in return for $150,000 and commitments to use its magazines to promote her current career as a fitness specialist.
The only crimes associated with this matter were committed by the Office of the Special Counsel, the DOJ, and the FBI.
I heard Rush say this too.
He said distinctly that it was 2014, not 2015 (soon after candidacy began) or 2016 (just before the RNC Convention).
In so many of these Trump scandals, I ask myself “what if the allegations are true? What does it matter?”
So far nothing about Trump has been unearthed that I couldn’t have guessed about him before he became a candidate. Anyone paying attention would know he was fond of attractive blondes and probably fooled around with more than one.
As a candidate, he’d have to assure their silence every bit as much as Bill Clinton would have needed to. But you must remember that Trump used his own money to pay off his paramours and his trysts were long before he was a government employee.
I feel sorry for his wife and youngest son but these deeds are such small potatoes compared to Hillary that my confidence in him is unshaken.
