Did you know that houses owned by black Americans are undervalued by an average of $48,000 per home? Combined, this makes for 156 billion dollars in lossesa discrepancy called a segregation tax. I didnt know this either, until a recent study by the Brookings Institute articulated exactly how pervasive this brand of bias is, and the obvious generational impact of it.
If you comb through enough data and listen to enough anecdotes and read enough books and know enough black people, little nuggets of the effects of racism and anti-blackness will continue to reveal themselves, like post-credit Easter eggs when watching The Avengers.

the root is a black racist hate site. They will take anything and everything as an excus to spew hate against whitey.
houses undervalued by an average of $48,000 per home.
Housing is only worth what someone will pay. It is typically sold to the person with the highest offer. Are they not selling to the highest offer?
What does that even mean?
Someday, Barack Hussein Obama will be remembered like a dead white man. I will be thrilled when he receives that well-deserved honor.
Undervalued because of being in shitty high crime areas that reflection of the culture of the people that live there?
“houses owned by black Americans are undervalued by an average of $48,000 per home?”
Well, if they are anything like my black next door neighbors’ house it stands to reason. Never take care of the yard or the outside of the house and while I’ve never been inside I do have another neighbor that has and he said it mortified him over the condition........RAGGED OUT.
OK, so take all of Whitey’s money, and then eliminate Whitey. That’s what you want, isn’t it?
But then what would happen without Whitey to blame and to use as a cash cow? You would be poor as a church mouse.
It means blacks get a huge tax break.
I wish my house was undervalued by $48,000.
Lucky black people.
Exactly correct.
They are consumed by racism. They see everything through an anti-white racist lens.
They have no concern for facts.
Here is what one of their writers wrote about the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case. Michael Harriot from The Root on Trayvon Martin: "Five years ago, while walking home after buying candy and soda, Trayvon Martin was lynched in public by an overzealous, half-crazy, racist neighborhood watchman who was not in the neighborhood watch. He was killed by a grown man who stalked him with a gun and—after being told by a 911 operator to leave Trayvon alone—somehow shot the teen in the chest."
Several lies in that paragraph.
George Zimmerman was not racist.
He is part black. Numerous investigations showed him to be not racist.
He was not overzealous. He did not stalk Trayvon.
The best evidence is Trayvon stalked him.
He was not told to leave Trayvon alone.
Trayvon attacked him, and was trying to kill him when Zimmerman shot him in a desperate attempt to save his life.
Here is probably the best digest of the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case.
Just wait until you see the month-long spectacle the MSM puts on for Obama when he kicks the bucket...
Do you know something..,:)
This type of study is meaningless. It is like when you find a house on Zillow that is many thousands of dollars under its “zestimate”. Typically, they are complete pigsties that need a lot of cleanup and repair, or as you say they are in a high crime neighborhood. In the town where we live the values in the north side of town are twice what they are in the south side of town for similar square footage and lot size. This discrepancy keeps growing. Who wants to live near a bunch of low income apartments or deadbeats in rental houses, not to mention the thugs and drug dealers?
What the heck are the pinkos at Brookings spouting off?
I'll tell you the same thing I just told the Secret Service agent that called me:
I know nothing. NOTH-THING.
Mostly, it means they pay less property taxes. I wish my home were undervalued by $48,000!!!
It means that less valuable homes are more affordable for blacks.
It’s because the houses are usually in crappy cities that have been allowed to deteriorate over the 4 decades or more the Democrats have been running the town.
There goes the neighbor, hood.
The original study here: https://www.brookings.edu/research/devaluation-of-assets-in-black-neighborhoods/
Purportedly, all things equal, like school quality, transportation, size and age of house, the average home in a black area is valued at $48000 less than a house in a non-black area.
The authors say they were unable to measure crime rates and did not include that factor.
The upside would seem to be that black people have the opportunity to buy a house for less than the rest of us.
