PARIS President Donald Trumps decision to cancel his visit to an American military cemetery outside of Paris threatened to overshadow his trip here, as government officials, historians and fellow Republicans hammered him for more than 24 hours for that move.
President@realDonaldTrump a no-show because of raindrops? Those veterans the president didnt bother to honor fought in the rain, in the mud, in the snow & many died in trenches for the cause of freedom. Rain didnt stop them & it shouldnt have stopped an American president, wrote former Secretary of State John Kerry, a veteran of the Vietnam War.
The internet lit up Saturday and Sunday with images of other world leaders braving gray skies to lay wreaths, unveil plaques and pay their respects at memorials and cemeteries outside of Paris during a weekend to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel lay a floral wreath on Saturday afternoon at Compiègne, the site where the agreement that stopped World War I was signed. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the World War I battlefield, Vimy Ridge, where he greeted Canadian veterans.
The White House opted to drop the trip for the president due to rainy weather because the presidents Marine One helicopter cannot fly in rain or fog.
I do my best to not insult on freepers or in life. My dear late mothers last words to me were “if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything”.
See - you accused me of something that didn’t happen. Where did I “question your familie’s heritage”? Good God.
And “whiny female”? Thanks, thanks alot.

I have, for TWENTY+ years, used caps to highlight certain words. IT'S NOT "SCREAMING"; though the first part of this sentence IS!
You don't understand the meaning of the word "LIBEL"; go look it up in a GOOD dictionary!
"Snowflake" is now "name calling? LOL...you truly ARE a "snowflake"!
Asking you to THINK, prior to hitting the post button, is an "insult"? Trust me, it isn't; however what you posted ( Trump uber alles ) about Trumper posters here, certainly is an INSULT and baseless!
Stop clutching your fake pearls and go lie down on your FAINTING COUCH and take some deep breaths.
I just do internet streaming instead of broadcast TV at this point.
My daughters ancestors have fought in every U.S. war from the American Revolution to Iraq and Afganistan. So is it ok for me to post here?
I am glad Trump is safe and glad he is returning home today.
Not true; you went after another poster too. You can't handle any pushback, not even soft peddled ones.
I'm polite; but, you reply to me, I respond in kind.
You don't know HOW to fight back and that is your problem; not mine.
And you are the one who TWISTS what other posters have replied to have said.
Here's a little hint...don't post anything that is probably going to cause blowback, because you can't handle it. And THAT is what I meant by saying "THINK BEFORE POSTING".
The people complaining about the missed formality are anti-American, socialist nitpicking hens and effeminates.
I would never go there, but, why are they upset?
The MSM could give a crap less about vets or WW1.
Marine One has all the safety equipment in the world to fly in the rain. There is even a kitchen. He did not want to go. However, that does not bother me, really. What he does today looking forward is what matters.
It is not the Presidents call.
Learn it.
as a doctor, I know that air evac helicopters crash now and then (and worry about my son in law who flies one).
and sometimes they just can't land at your heliport...so you have to take them out by regular ambulance or to an airport for fixed wing air evac.
Once the weather was marginal, we had to use an ambulance to take a patient, a baby whose loving pot-head father had bashed his head against the wall for crying, to the nearest airport (30 miles) for a fixed wing plane to fly the patient another 100 miles to a major hospital neurosurgery.
Another, MY grandfather was in France in WWI.
I took this as a reference to my family and service in WW1
You mentioned Gender, not me, I spoke to you as an equal and you played the card
So if you want to start again then use your words correctly, i do not mind a healthy conversation, but it you choose confrontation we can go there too..
I mentioned sex because you all refer to me as a guy, and presume to know so much about me based on a couple posts. But apparently couldnt even research my profile. Has nothing to do with a card.
Sorry, that is a real leap going from my GF to doubting your heritage. The point was my GF was also in WWI, and I have an interest in WWI respect (aside from its IMPORTANCE to history, which is actually much more germaine)...but Ipso facto, with a family connection, I guess I also have credentials to comment on a WWI ceremony (and yes, I did mention it earlier). IOW, I have a card here too. But, I will not state that people with no connection have no right or qualification to speak on it. Not at all.
I am tired of the fighting, name-calling, accusations, going on here all because I stated it wasnt quite kosher to miss out on Belleau Wood. Absurd. Asinine. And yes, when it is asinine, Im going to engage. I will not be libeled this way. But its done. Enough.
Truce...
Thank you. I’d prefer to be friends with FR than be enemies. We don’t need that with liberals running virtually everything.
Sara Sanders just said Trump didn’t attend because 2.5 drive would have tied up traffic
Throughout Paris and outskirts. That is it.
I didn’t “insult” you, so complain ab out being “INSULTED” to someone else. ;^)
Computer problems?
Did you not read what I posted about just that, or are you having difficulty understand my posts?
